Most temperature blankets use numbers from a weather website. Mine come from my own thermometers 🌡️
I measure the temperatures myself: the highest on the southern terrace, the lowest on the north side of the house. Two spots, often two very different readings. That's the whole idea of my Temperature Blanket 2026: it shows the weather right here in our garden, not the average for the region.
Every day becomes one hexie, and the temperature decides the color, not me. I didn't plan a single color combination, the weather did. Some weeks look calm and even, others jump from warm to cold overnight, and you can see every jump in the yarn. And I used a special color for my birthday!
That's what I love most about it. By the end of the year, this blanket will tell the story of 2026 better than any photo album, and I'll remember the hot summer days and the first frosty mornings every time I wrap myself in it.
