Why handmade = soul
Handmade means time.
It means hands, not machines.
It means small imperfections that make each piece unique.
It means care in every step.
It means something made with intention.
That is why handmade has soul.

This is what the beginning of Kesem Candles looked like at 2020, peak COVID. That’s when we slowed down, turned to candle making and crystals. And the rest is history…

Kesem means magic.
For me, it's not the loud kind.

It’s the quiet magic.
The kind that lives in small rituals.
In warm light.
In slowing down for just a moment.
In a giggle and a kind smile.

I started making candles during a time when life felt too fast.
I needed to do something creative with my hands.
Something grounding.

Kesem was born from that need.
To create small moments of calm,
one candle at a time.
