Brown, Black, Polar, Moon, Spectacled, Panda, Grizzly… Papa? 🐻🤎

While there are eight species of bears, we would only accept a hug from the latter. Hans J. Wegner translates this feeling of a warm, loving, fuzzy hug to his eponymous easy chair: The Papa Bear Chair from 1953. Its armrests appear like paws ready to embrace, the tall backrest provides stability and comfort. Handmade by Danish craftsmen over the course of two weeks, each chair is upholstered using the finest, durable, and natural materials. A sought-after piece for comfort-enthusiasts and collectors alike!

At Falkenberg, we simply love hosting 🤍 One particular pillar is something we enjoy thinking about in particular, and that is to create a welcoming and homey backdrop!

Besides obvious aspects such as a neat, clean space, upgrade your home to fit your dinner party by considering just a few simple steps.

Step one: The lighting 💛 Using indirect, diffuse lighting, with a highlight placed here and there, builds a warm and calm surrounding. Light sources like the Verpan Fun Lamp add so much interest by playing with shadow.
Step two: Floral arrangements 🤎 It does not always need to be one large centerpiece, why not go for smaller, loose arrangements in multiple parts of the room. Decorate with leaves and greens for a sculptural, contemporary effect. Our Flower Fridays are a great chance to pick up unusual flowers and greenery for your weekend dinner party.
Step three: Comfortable seating 🧡 This one is non-negotiable, really. All seats are spread out evenly around the table, ample space for each guest, and a comfortable chair. Arne Jacobsen’s 3107 is a trusty, chic companion, tried and tested across many long evenings.
