30 Jahre House of Textile Arts – Wir feiern Jubiläum!
Am 01. Mai wird unser "kleiner Großkonzern" für handgefärbte Stickgarne 30 Jahre alt und wir öffnen unsere Türen für euch:
Tag der offenen Tür mit Leckereien vom Grill, kühlen Getränken und spannenden Einblicken in unsere textile Welt.

Ever since we kicked off our project "The May Be Longest Stitch Sampler Band In The World..." we've been absolutely captivated by the incredible effects creative threads can achieve with traditional stitches. Just take a look at this beauty, featuring Tentakulum Painters Threads in various qualities: Gimp, Pearl Cotton 5, Soie d'Alger, Braided Metallics, and Crewel Wool. It's a small masterpiece that would make a stunning addition to a tote bag or cushion cover, wouldn't you agree? ✨🧵

Had an amazing evening celebrating the conclusion of our Erasmus+ project "Key Skills" (co-funded by the EU)despite the snow chaos in Sauerland. Mayor Thomas Grosche welcomed our guests, and Economic Development Officer Michael Aufmhof shared insights into the job market situation in Medebach. BIZ sparked great interest among volunteers working with refugees and people with migration backgrounds in Medebach with her story of successfully starting her own business despite her disability. A thoroughly successful evening for a thoroughly successful project. 🌟

It finally started! The big Textile Festival - die Textile Schmallenberg 2024 has opened its doors at the Lenneatelier in Schmallenberg. In the unique works of art by wood sculptor Sandra Tusch-Dünnebacke, hand-carved wood is transformed into impressive clothing sculptures.
The Mayor of Schmallenberg also did the starting shot for the Web-Mobil. Not with a gun of course, but with a shuttle on the loom.

We are almost there! The end of January also marks the end of our Erasmus+ adventure. On January 17th we have our big day and have the chance to show our work to many new visitors. Hopefully...

A simple stitch like the Triple Oblong Cross becomes a small work of art when you work it with effective effects. In this case we used Gimp (color 119 Gabriele), Shimmer (color 115 GrandmaMoses) and Pearl Cotton 5 (color 106 Klimt). Let yourself be inspired to be an artist by using the wide variety of threads available in Tentakulum Painters Threads.
