Munich Spring Festival 2026 with was all things colorful, chaotic, and heartwarming🌼

The event was very well organized, and it was especially thoughtful to see the organizers personally visiting each stall and checking in on us throughout the day.

Food stole the spotlight (fair enough 😄) and our corner became a space for conversations, and lovely human connections. It was a great chance to share the story behind my work. I’ll take that win any day.

A special mention to my favorite person for the beautiful cake jar stall definitely my personal favorite of the day, to the stunning crocheted bouquets by .de and the ever cheerful

I managed to sneak in some absolute favorites like pani puri, ragada patties, and pav bhaji and they were comfort on plate totally :) I only wish I had the time (and patience for those long queues) to try more of the incredible spread.

While I love wandering around and connecting with fellow stall owners, this time I couldn’t step away as much as I would’ve liked. But I already know, the creativity around me was nothing short of inspiring :)

Last year, I came in to support my friend’s food stall at IMD feat and stayed for the vibes ✨
What started as a quick visit turned into hours of stall hopping, laughter and a full-on desi fair in the heart of Munich.

This year though, things got interesting.
I’m not just visiting, I’m bringing Banyan India with me :) and it’s about the stories you can take home from us :)

So come by, say hi, and soak in the art, hues, food, music, and all the good energy :)

The event is free, but registration is required so that the organizers can plan accordingly.

Sometimes, certain temples and the deities give us a sense of connection that goes beyond words.

For me, it is the Ramaswamy Temple in Kumbakonam.

Every time I stand there, I don’t feel like I’m just visiting, I feel like I belong there.
He, in his majestic grandeur, is found in the sanctum in Their coronation robes along with Seetha. He is seen along with all His brothers, Lakshmana in a standing posture and armed with bow and arrows, Bharathan holding an umbrella and Sathrugan holding a hand held fan. Hanuman is seen depicting and playing a Veena in praise of Lord Rama.

Which temple comes to your mind when you think of Lord Rama?

The print tells a quiet, cheerful story, mustard yellow like a sunset, with flowers that look as if they’ve been hand-drawn by someone who believes every petal has a personality. The larger blooms sit proudly, almost like they’re posing, while the smaller ones scatter around them like little whispers of joy. And those winding green vines? They don’t just connect the flowers, they feel like they decided to dance.

Look closely and you’ll notice the delicate, almost imperfect lines, tiny quirks that make it feel human, not machine-made. It’s the kind of print where no two glances feel the same; each time, a new flower catches your eye like it’s saying, “Oh, you missed me earlier.”

At the pop-up, amidst soft lights and quiet chatter, Shalie paused, not because she had to, but because something had already chosen her :)

She ran her fingers over the totes, smiling, almost apologetically, and said, “It is so difficult to decide… they are all beautiful.” And she meant it. Each piece had a story, a mood, a little world stitched into it.

But then, this one, recognized her :)
