Day 1
• 08:30 Breakfast
• 09:00 Welcome. Coffee, tea
• 09:30 Lecture: Roots and concept of the Lithuanian sauna. Depth and sacredness of the sauna.
o The Circle of Life. Sauna’s place in the Circle of Life.
o Key life transitions: birth, marriage, passing. Sauna as a space for transformation
• 13:00 Lunch
• Lecture: Lithuanian perspective on trees. Main sauna whisks: birch, oak, red oak, linden, maple, juniper.
o Physical and energetic properties of whisks (resonance method), practical use in sauna
• 18:00 Experiential Lithuanian sauna session led by Audra Staskevičienė
Day 2
• 08:30 Breakfast
• 09:00 Reflection on Day 1
• 09:30 Core principles of whisking. Practice on massage tables
• 13:00 Lunch
• Sauna session: whisking in the sauna
• 17:00 Course wrap-up. Certificates
🎒 What to Bring
• Comfortable, loose clothing (tracksuits, leggings, etc.)
• Slippers
• Sauna accessories: hat, sauna skirt/cloak. If unavailable – two-piece swimsuit for women, briefs for men (long shorts not suitable)
• Sauna robe, two towels (one for sauna use, one dry for after)
• Notebook for notes
