Last week, we said goodbye to a very important piece of our family. Chester, Sonny, Pawpaw, my dear sweet grandfather. He was a photographer who somehow always ended up in front of the camera, always the coolest person in the room, always burning the garlic bread, and forever the family goofball. While sorting through hundreds of photos of him and his work, I realized that the pull toward the b&w, high-contrast artistic world I’ve leaned into lately comes from his photography. (Slide 7) 🖤 Even though he’s gone, I can still feel close to him. Following his art, holding on to it as a reminder of how I can continue to be shaped and influenced by him throughout my life. I hold you close to my heart forever.
I love you, Pawpaw.

ONE YEAR SOBER 🎉💚
I didn’t want to get sober when I did, it felt uncomfortable and scary but something in me wouldn’t let me get away from trying. I would have never believed how great my life could be after removing alcohol, I was tricked into thinking it was helpful to my being but i can now see it was slowly destroying me. Without alcohol, everyday is easier for me, I have energy to appreciate my life again, I choose healthier relationships, & can hold space for self love and healing ❤️‍🩹. Though not drinking has its really hard moments, I am proud of the life I am creating for myself and I’m so thankful for everyone who has lended their support on my journey in sobriety 🫶🏼
