ARCHITECTMADE

ARCHITECTMADE Modern home accessories and design created by famous Danish architects! www.twitter.com/ARCHITECTMAD

Our company brings you an exclusively selected handful of unique and intelligent design classics from the golden age of Danish Modern design. These include Kristian Vedel’s BIRD family, Finn Juhls Turning Trays and Hans Bølling's Duck and Duckling. In creating each object, every architect has produced a clean-cut and extensively thought out design, where form and function cooperate to create a tim

eless appeal of the final product. With this in mind, each internationally recognized Danish architect has designed products, which can nowadays proudly bear the label of a “design icons.”

All of our products are made following the highest possible standards and are sold exclusively in the leading design retailers all over the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Skandium in London and Guggenheim in Berlin.

For ARCHITECTMADE, true sustainability is longevity. For 22 years, the brand has worked with architects to create objects that endure, both physically and aesthetically. Pausefisk by Kristian Vedel reflects this belief in tangible design. Created in 1956, it invites people to pause and reflect while holding it, allowing the moment to matter. To celebrate this ethos, ARCHITECTMADE welcomes a like minded brand this year, Kyoto-based Hirayama-nichiyo-ten (), inviting guests to experience design through use rather than as a display piece.

Event 1:
Knots & Coffee with Hirayama-nichiyo-ten
Learn Himochōban at ARCHITECTMADE. In this intimate hands–on hour, Kyoto's Hirayama–nichiyo–ten will introduce the traditional cord hinge technique behind their signature stools, over warm coffee and good company. Leave with a little piece of Kyoto.

He's been sitting on those books the whole time. Designed in 1953 by architect Hans Bølling, Oscar is handcrafted in beech wood with leather ears and a leather tail — his movable joints built to hold whatever posture you give him. Know someone who just graduated? Oscar has been waiting.

In a world engineered to keep you looking at a screen, every app, every feed, every notification is designed by someone whose job it is to capture your attention and hold it. Kristian Vedel understood the value of the pause long before any of this existed. Pausefisk was designed in 1956 - the same era Danish television would fill the screen with nothing but swimming fish and stillness between programs, giving people a moment to simply breathe. The fish still swim. The phones still buzz. The choice is still yours. 🐟

We have never followed a trend. Not because we couldn't - but because we never wanted to. While the design industry moves fast, launches more, and discards yesterday's favourites, we have spent 22 years doing the opposite. One object. The right architect. The right wood. Made to stay. That is not a design philosophy. That is a quiet rebellion.
