Johannes Torpe Studios We are an international interior architecture and design studio based in Copenhagen, founded and creative-directed by Johannes Torpe. We wear this with pride.

Johannes Torpe Studios is a multidisciplinary design studio operating within the fields of interior design, architecture, product and furniture design for more than 20 years. Torpe is an unconventional and self-trained creative in every way imaginable. Working in the fields of interior, product, lighting and graphic design, while also producing music and playing the drums, he is not one to conform

From dreams to reality ✨ the canteen at our Kronprinsensgade 7 project with .dk.

To illuminate what was once an extremely dark room, we introduced fluted glass elements with backlighting, creating a brighter, more inviting atmosphere.

The highlight of this room is the exquisite carpentry that extends seamlessly throughout the space, all crafted in-house by the talented carpenter at .dk.

Original stucco work and pillars adorned with original carvings were carefully restored to their former glory.

To top it all off, we added cloud light pendants to give the space an airy feel. ☁️

“Second to food, the design is one of the most important components when it comes to creating a restaurant. Danish design and architecture office, Johannes Torpe Studios, knows just how to make one-of-a-kind atmospheres and its latest project for Copenhagen restaurant, Levi, is no exception.”

From a custom-designed U-shaped bar with a Verdi Alpi marble countertop and fanfare lamps to custom-design hardware, the restaurant style also takes form in minimal, yet refined style choices. Other hallmarks of Johannes Torpe Studios’ work in the space are custom furniture, terrazzo flooring, brushed larch wood, amber-hued drapes and decorative chrome lighting.”
