NEW WORKS

NEW WORKS New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art.

Our work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. Through collaboration with International acknowledged designers, we add a spice to our scandinavian heritage, which we respect, but want to challenge. Our approach is heavily influenced by our experiments with natural materials and geometric forms, giving ou

r work a nice sculptural touch. We strive to build objects that are not just comfortable to sit in, but also interesting to look at.

The starting point for Coupe was an almost naïve sketch: one vertical line intersected by three horizontals. Inspired by the silhouettes of champagne coupes, designer John Astbury translated that first drawing into a series of stools shaped through proportion, silhouette, and material weight.

New Works x Eskoleia

The Unit, designed by Jonas Stokke collection, comprises six pieces that balance robust functionality with sculptural refinement. Ranging from larger consoles to more compact units, each design integrates its practical purpose within an architectural form. Concealed beneath a lid, upper compartment, or hinged front, utility remains present yet understated, allowing the character of each unit to come forward.

Coming Soon: New Works x Eskoleia—Unit Series

Unit marks the first collaboration between New Works, designer Jonas Stokke, and Norwegian manufacturer Eskoleia. Originally developed through a close partnership between Stokke and Eskoleia, the collection now joins the New Works portfolio, bringing together contemporary design, industrial expertise, and over a century of manufacturing heritage dating back to 1912.

Produced to order in Kongsvinger, Norway, Unit is shaped through a close dialogue between form, material, and production, resulting in a series defined by precision, longevity, and architectural clarity.

For 3daysofdesign 2026, we present Meditations in an Emergency—an
exhibition exploring the tension between external noise and inner stillness.

In a time defined by acceleration, distraction and visual overload, the exhibition considers what it means to make space for attention, introspection and, in short, the world within. This year, we've looked not only forward but inwards, truly putting ourselves on display.

We welcome you soon.

Coming Soon: Dune Chair

Fall unfolds through a series of previews. Panter & Tourron expand their collaboration with New Works through the upcoming Dune Series, introducing the Dune Chair alongside the Dune Tables. Defined by softened contours and a graphic silhouette, the chair explores seating through a sculptural lens — balancing tactile presence and folded lines.

Coming Soon: Atlas Stool Extensions

This season, familiar designs return in new material interpretations. John Astbury’s Atlas Stool series is presented in lacquered finishes that catch and reflect light across its generous forms, alongside a new round seat version. Colour and gloss shift the expression, drawing attention to proportion and detail while preserving the balance between sculpture and utility at the core of the series.

Coming Soon: Coupe Series

Inspired by the silhouette of champagne coupes, designer John Astbury translated a simple sketch — one vertical line intersected by three horizontals — into a series of steel stools shaped through proportion, silhouette, and material weight. Balancing broad circular surfaces with slim structural elements, Coupe carries a curious duality; at once grounded and light-footed.

Coming Soon: Nebra Floor and Table Lamp

This season, Nebra extends beyond the pendant. With the introduction of a floor and table lamp, Lukas Bazle’s series continues its exploration of adjustable filtered light. In the new additions, the shifting pleated shade is brought closer to the surrounding interior, where the character of the diffused light changes gently with placement and perspective.
