A small glimpse into one of the new projects I’ve started along with my new life here in Bali.
(These are early prototypes — still very much a work in progress.)

For a long time, I’ve felt drawn to explore the art of weaving, inspired by my grandmother. Her tapestries have followed me through life, and many still hang in my home today. The last picture shows my grandmother in front of one of her large tapestries.

This project is my way of revisiting and honoring her craft — translating her forms and textures into something that feels like my own, in a more contemporary expression.

I’m in the process of designing a series of wooden frames, handmade by a local carpenter, and I’m now experimenting with different techniques, materials, and patterns to see where it leads.

In December, I closed the KLAY Copenhagen store — and since then, something new has been quietly taking shape.

This isn’t a goodbye to KLAY — it’s a pause, a breath, and a new beginning.
In February my husband and I will move to Indonesia 🇮🇩 where I’ll be stepping into a new chapter.
I’ll be learning new crafts and skills, I will explore fresh ideas and new designs - and slowly, I will shape what the future of KLAY Copenhagen will look like.
I don’t know exactly where it all will lead yet — and that feels both a little scary and very exciting ✨

I want to say the biggest thank you to all the incredible people I’ve collaborated with over the years — the artists, makers, collaborators, customers, friends, and my family. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.
And a very special thank you to my three wonderful employees Marie, Liv and Esther. Your dedication, warmth, and support meant more to me than you know — I’m endlessly grateful 🤍

Now I’m looking forward to a new beginning, new inspiration, and new adventures.
I really hope you’ll stay and follow along as the journey continues.
