Just finished two murals for a couple who invited me to paint their shared life philosophy: Freedom • Effort • Peace onto their walls in their beautiful apartment. They believe that freedom and effort shape a meaningful life, and that peace both in the world and in our relationships is something worth striving for.

Grateful to have translated their values into art, onto walls, and into daily reminders. 🧡

Do you also want a touch of my art to your own walls? Feel free to send me a DM.

“When I See You”, 2024
Oil pastels on recycled handmade paper from .

During my time in Soweto, South Africa, inspiration was everywhere often in the form of the people I met. This small collection consists of 10 pieces, each created in response to a moment where someone moved me deeply. Every time I felt the urge to preserve that feeling, I painted. They’re not portraits in the traditional sense - it’s more about the feeling they left me with than how they looked.

The collection has already been bought by an art collector from Soweto.

I’m back in Denmark after spending four months in South Africa and Mozambique. This painting was created the last time I returned from Southern Africa - it helped me process the complex emotions of coming home. I sometimes find it hard to find the right words for how I feel, but painting helps me to understand myself.

This piece is a self-portrait of how I felt then, and this time, I feel much the same. Coming home is always a culture shock. Travel gives me perspective, and revisiting the same places deepens that understanding in ways I can’t fully explain. One thing I know for sure: Europe has far more to learn from Africa than the other way around.

I painted a mural for my dear friend, Luja’s upcoming gallery & restaurant. For me it was important to paint the strong bunds of the Sowetan people. Luja’s vision and dedication to the community in Phiri go far beyond words, and bringing that to life through this painting felt deeply meaningful.

One of the things I love most about Soweto is that YOU’RE NEVER ALONE. Swipe to see what I mean and also the process behind the mural. I had two adorable little helpers, and thanks to their enthusiasm and eagerness, we finished the work so much faster.

The Tension Between Being Seen and Hiding, 2025

I sometimes struggle with this balance - the pull between wanting to be seen and the urge to hide. This piece captures that internal conflict, reflecting the tension of revealing vulnerable parts of yourself. It’s a delicate dance between vulnerability, fear and the desire for connection. If you have people who truly see you, keep them close. This artwork is also a dedication to them.

Five years ago today, I decided to take my art practice to the next level and started my own business. For the past 1.5 years, I’ve been practicing art almost full-time. And for the past three months, I’ve been in Soweto, South Africa, creating art and connecting with people through creativity.

Art teaches me so much about life, myself, and the world we live in. It’s hard work - some days, I really want to quit. Other days, I can’t understand why I’d ever want to stop.

I’m so grateful every time you purchase a piece of my art. You’re buying a piece of my soul and investing in my ongoing artistic journey.

As tradition, I’ve created new “pocket art” for your phone (swipe to see an example). You can download it via the WeTransfer link in my story/highlights. The art will be available for the next seven days. I’ve made the pocket art in three different colors, so you can choose the one that best fits your mood🦋❤️

P.S. I hear this song every time I doubt myself.

The painting “Blodstreams” flowed directly from within me. It demanded to be expressed, almost as if it had a life of its own. It captures the shadow that runs through all of us, the hidden parts we often suppress but that shape us nonetheless.
