LE KLINT

LE KLINT Made in Odense, Denmark, since 1943. Jensen-Klint. In 1943 Tage Klint pioneered the LE KLINT family handicraft and pleating skills into a real business.

In cooperation with designers and architects we offer a wide range of contemporary lamps with emphasis on functionality, aesthetics, and quality. The story of LE KLINT dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when a hand pleated lamp shade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering P.V. A team of friends and family members worked hard to refine t

his new shade and in return, received one as a gift of gratitude for their time. He masterminded a new outstanding and decisive detail to the LE KLINT shades, which were then added, the elastic collar. Kaare Klint was a well-known and respected architect, accomplished craftsman and designer. From the very beginning when the company was founded, LE KLINT benefited from Kaare Klint's astonishing talent. He created LK 101 (a pendant known as the Fruit Lantern) and LK 306 (a versatile table and wall lamp). Both lamps are still among the company's best-sellers today. The Le Klint shop was established in 1943 in Copenhagen. Here the lamps were presented and sold in an inspiring surrounding. The shop was furnished with Kaare Klint originals and Rosentapet floral wall coverings designed by Gunnar Billmann Petersen which adorned the walls. This sophisticated décor allowed the white pleated lampshades to illuminate to perfection. Tage Klint’s daughter, Lise Le Charlotte Klint was the very first Le Klint Shop Manager. In 1953, Jan Klint, Tage Klint's son, took control. He was a businessman, light years ahead of his time. In 1971, Jan Klint had a foundation set up to insure the future of the LE KLINT employees. It is still in effect today. Since the 20th century, LE KLINT lamps are developed in cooperation with architects and designers who have great respect for our craftsmanship and traditions. We do our best to continually modernise our designs in accordance to today’s technologies and changing trends. The story of LE KLINT is not merely the story of a company, but also a reflection of the history of design and technology for more than one hundred years - a century during which LE KLINT has evolved into today's modern manufacturing company without compromising its integrity.

Bouquet – a flower about to bloom

Discover the new additions to the Bouquet series by Sinja Svarrer Damkjær.

Inspired by the elegance of tulips, Bouquet brings nature into a pleated universe. The distinctive pleated shade reflects the soft, organic shape of a tulip about to bloom.

The table lamp and floor lamp are now available in an elegant combination of black and smoked oak, complementing the existing versions in light oak and cream white.

Known for its playful design, the floor lamp gently sways like a flower, while the table lamp features a small built-in tray in its base – both functional and decorative.

Originally launched in 2024, the Carronade II collection is an updated version of Markus Johansson’s 2016 Carronade series. The new designs are available in the same striking finishes as the existing collection with black oak and black details, or smoked oak with brass details.

LAMELLA by Homstvedt & Takagi

The timeless LAMELLA collection is designed by Norwegian designer and American designer , who first met while exhibiting at Salone Satellite in 2011, where they quickly bonded over a shared love of design, biking, and beer.

Aware of how challenging it can be for an American designer to work with brands in Northern Europe, and just as difficult for a Norwegian to collaborate with American brands, they decided to join forces and work together.

The LAMELLA collection was the duo’s first collaboration with a European brand.
LAMELLA is inspired by the delicate pleats on the underside of mushroom caps commonly known as lamella. The serie is made using the PLICA technique which is an old production technique.

LAMELLA 1, designed by the designer duo Takagi & Homstvedt, is a timeless classic that complements any home.
Inspired by the pleated underside of mushroom caps, known as lamellae, the design is defined by simplicity, subtle curved lines, and a pure white light.

The pendant is produced using the PLICA technique, an old production method, and is of course handcrafted in Odense, Denmark.
