Made in Odense, Denmark, since 1943. Jensen-Klint. In 1943 Tage Klint pioneered the LE KLINT family handicraft and pleating skills into a real business.

In cooperation with designers and architects we offer a wide range of contemporary lamps with emphasis on functionality, aesthetics, and quality. The story of LE KLINT dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when a hand pleated lamp shade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering P.V. A team of friends and family members worked hard to refine t

his new shade and in return, received one as a gift of gratitude for their time. He masterminded a new outstanding and decisive detail to the LE KLINT shades, which were then added, the elastic collar. Kaare Klint was a well-known and respected architect, accomplished craftsman and designer. From the very beginning when the company was founded, LE KLINT benefited from Kaare Klint's astonishing talent. He created LK 101 (a pendant known as the Fruit Lantern) and LK 306 (a versatile table and wall lamp). Both lamps are still among the company's best-sellers today. The Le Klint shop was established in 1943 in Copenhagen. Here the lamps were presented and sold in an inspiring surrounding. The shop was furnished with Kaare Klint originals and Rosentapet floral wall coverings designed by Gunnar Billmann Petersen which adorned the walls. This sophisticated décor allowed the white pleated lampshades to illuminate to perfection. Tage Klint’s daughter, Lise Le Charlotte Klint was the very first Le Klint Shop Manager. In 1953, Jan Klint, Tage Klint's son, took control. He was a businessman, light years ahead of his time. In 1971, Jan Klint had a foundation set up to insure the future of the LE KLINT employees. It is still in effect today. Since the 20th century, LE KLINT lamps are developed in cooperation with architects and designers who have great respect for our craftsmanship and traditions. We do our best to continually modernise our designs in accordance to today’s technologies and changing trends. The story of LE KLINT is not merely the story of a company, but also a reflection of the history of design and technology for more than one hundred years - a century during which LE KLINT has evolved into today's modern manufacturing company without compromising its integrity.

NEW LE KLINT Pendant

Model 189 Long Pleat

Long Pleat is a linear pendant light with a hand-folded shade, designed to follow the long lines of a dining table or kitchen island. The precise folds surround the light source, creating a pleasant balance between functional downward light and softer light that spreads upwards into the room. The pendant is also well suited above conference tables and other long surfaces, where both light and form can take centre stage.

The hand-folded shade is suspended by two wires, enhancing the lamp’s light and almost floating expression. The cord is positioned to one side and can be shaped into a soft, flowing line that becomes part of the lamp’s sculptural expression or left straight for a simpler and more graphic look.

Long Pleat is available with our hand-folded shade in either standard or paper. The pendant features a specially developed LED light source that provides both upward and downward illumination and can be dimmed using the dimmer on the lamp or with a compatible wall dimmer.

NEW LIGHTING DESIGN!

Today is a special day for us, as we finally welcome Urchina – the newest member of the LE KLINT family, officially launching today.

Behind the beautiful design is international product designer Jette Scheib.

Urchina is a series of hand-pleated pendants inspired by the distinctive form of the sea urchin – a design where structure meets softness. The many precise pleats give the shade a lively, sculptural surface, creating a subtle interplay of light and shadow.

Available in three sizes, Urchina is designed to bring a calm yet distinctive presence to an interior – whether hanging on its own above a dining table or illuminating larger spaces.

Shibui Floor Lamp Model 386 – design by Søren Refsgaard

Designer Søren Refsgaard has grown up with Le Klint lamps and has always loved the shade’s atmospheric light and patterns, which seems simultaneously simple yet infinitely complex. His goal has been to create a lighting series, with a clear Le Klint DNA, while displaying its own character and strength.

The defined shape and lines are clear visuals of Søren’s thought process in terms of functionality – which is quite obvious in both the wall and floor lamp, that can be adjusted to provide light wherever it is desired.

The monochrome colors give two specific guarantees: They ensure that the products' color choices will never become outdated with the ever-evolving current trends and they also allow the series to be flexible within any interior designer’s mood board, ensuring their longevity for years to come – an infamous characteristic of Le Klint lamps

The Shibui floor lamp has a hand-pleated shade and black metal ring, as well as a black lacquered floor stand.

Timeless classic design

The Lamella lighting collection is designed by the talented duo Hallgeir Homstvedt and Jonah Takagi. They were fascinated with the underside of mushroom caps and became intrigued with the delicate pleating effect, which after some research discovered its biological name was Lamella.

This formal pleated structure, when paired with a soft yet concise silhouette drives the design of this lighting family. Simplicity, subtle curved lines, pure white light - all key components of how this beautiful modern design will quickly transform into a timeless classic.

Model 332 is a modern floor lamp from the Lamella series, with black lacquered metal details, is yet another classic in our collection.

Model 330 Bouquet – Floor Lamp with an Organic Design Language

The Bouquet floor lamp brings the collection's organic design language into a slender and elegant floor lamp. Designed by Sinja Svarrer Damkjær and inspired by the soft lines of a tulip, its graceful steel stem lifts the iconic hand-folded lampshade to create a light, almost floating silhouette. The lamp provides a warm, comfortable light, making it ideal beside a sofa, in a reading corner, or anywhere a calm and inviting atmosphere is desired.

The flat steel base is paired with a distinctive solid oak detail that creates a natural transition to the slender steel stem. The floor lamp is available with this detail in either light oak or smoked oak, combined with a steel stem in Cream White or Black.

The Bouquet collection brings together our hand-folding tradition with organic forms and natural materials in a timeless expression of Danish design.

Behind the design of LK 80 is the French designer Aurélien Barbry.

The Le Klint LK 80 series is crafted in oak with brass details and inspired by the classic Le Klint lamp with a pleated shade. With sophisticated construction, the lamp is simple but with a little twist at the base.

The stand is securely held in place with an elegant brass detail, giving the design a strong contemporary expression. The design process of figuring out how to place the cord for the lamp within the stand, so it had the right thickness, was challenging and took many months.

But the result is a lamp series with a strong contemporary expression, with the potential to become a Le Klint icon.

The Le Klint Model 351 floor lamp is an iconic design by Aage Petersen, created in 1970. This elegant lamp combines functionality and style in a timeless design. It is available in a beautiful combination of brass and black, giving it both a modern and classic expression.

The lamp's stem can be adjusted in height from 121 to 170 cm, making it flexible and ideal for different rooms and needs.

Model 351 is equipped with a hand-folded lampshade, Model 1 with a side length of 38 cm creating a pleasant and soft light.

In addition to the floor lamp, the model is also available as a table lamp, Model 352, which allows you to create cohesive lighting throughout the home.
