My heart goes out for those who got affected by the devastating flood. It's heartbreaking and I think of all wonderful people I met while I was there for the first time in 2022.

I went without planned much and totally felt in love with it. Nature, culture, people and all.

Nepal made me feel like we don't really need much stuff to be happy. Most people spend simple life and playing card games in the evening, and still incredibly friendly and generous for us visitors. They look after our flurry friends on the street very well and they looked all happy as well.

What essentially we need in on our lives are mother nature and good people/animals around you - that's it!

I play for their speedy recovery and hope our mother earth doesn't lose their temper any time soon again 🌎

My latest Aya Huma mask 👹 illustration is now available in pattern designs too.

I scattered the masks, rotating them randomly, and added some geometric confettie-like bits in between, making it looks festive and fun 🎉

🇪🇨 One thing I kept intriguing while traveling in Ecuador was these double-sided face masks. 👹 Their devilish-looking with tongue sticking out was pretty creepy, but their vibrant knitted colours somehow made them feel oddly friendly.

Later I learned from my tour guide that they're called Aya Huma masks, traditional Andean masks worn during ceremonies and festivals, such as Inti Raymi (the Festival of the Sun🌞 ).

My interpretation of creepy but cute Aya Huma mask illustration is available as art prints, T-shirts and more at my shops (🔗links in bio)

New artwork - Four Hourmonious Friends 🐘🐒🐇🦜

I came across many paintings depicting those four animals in teahouses (mountain lodges) around the Everest region in Nepal🇳🇵According to a local host, it's a populer Tibetan folktale about an elephant, a monkey, a hare and a bird (partridge) living together under the banyan tree.

Each animal has different strengths and they helps each other to enjoy the delicious fruits from the tree 🍑 It emphasis on the imrpotance of hormoney, respect for seniority and cooperation.

Traditionally they are drawn in Tibetan style and I've been wated to paint them in my own style... and here I finally go! I finished friendly touch with soft earthy tones while preserving the moral of the story.

I met these beautiful cute hummingbirds in Mindo, a small village in the tropical rainforest in Ecuador. 🇪🇨 They are tiny, agile and just so adorable! Despite its proximately to the capital Quito, Mindo remains very chill and offers many outdoor activity opportunities, and its fertile soil keeps organic cacao trees thriving.

I felt in love with Mindo and even felt like I could retire there!! Don't miss meeting not only colibríes and small mariposas(butterfly) 🦋
