Studio 86 STUDIO 86 Architecture & Interior Design Studio 86 is an Integrated Design Studio initiated by a group of architects & interior designers with big goals.

Our team has worked in some of the most prestigious and professional architectural firms in Egypt while simultaneously working on post-graduate studies and research. The team has cultivated diverse expertise allowing us to create a multi-disciplinary work structure. These expertise include architecture, interior design, project management, branding, LEED environmental studies and building performa

nce optimization while working on high-end residential, cultural, recreational and corporate projects. We believe that these different experiences allow us to approach projects in a holistic and collaborative sense. During a project, we particularly enjoy crafting buildings inside out by studying interior design along with the exterior building form, as well as integrating landscaping within the early building studies breaking traditional design methods that study these elements consecutively not simultaneously. Thus creating an integrated and consistent design that strongly instills the values desired for the project and delivers the required interior experience; creating a building that not only fits within its site context but also enhances it. Also, we consider research and technology as the catalysts for innovation in the design industry. Honesty to design, client satisfaction, and sustainability are the driving forces, along with the ability to constantly explore & evolve.

Educational spaces should evolve alongside students’ cognitive and emotional development.

At AIA, the interior design and wayfinding strategy was conceived as a spatial narrative:
– Simpler forms and clear geometries for early learning stages
– Gradually more structured and layered spaces in middle school
– Sharper, more complex geometries in high school environments

Colour was used intentionally as part of this progression, supporting energy, balance, and focus at different learning stages.

Interior concept for [ AAPUD ] by Studio 86 - The main spine is introduced to tie all the components together to guarantee good airflow and all-around natural illumination for indoor areas.

Reflecting pools and natural settings are designed to help overcome the city’s climate creating a cooler microclimate within the site.

The space is to inspire people to live in a more sustainable way and spread awareness towards the environment. Thus creating various human interactions, forming unique intercultural relations.

More about [ AAPUD ] initiative by Studio 86 - The value of the concept lies in considering the building and its plazas as a permanent interactive environment, reflecting Aswan’s culture _as the host_ and representing the delegates’ different identities.

Environmental, financial, and social objectives are meant to be balanced throughout the construction process. The design followed the guidelines of the green pyramid rating system to reach a sustainable development.
