As most of you know Ken and I have just moved into an Apartment in La Cala and you all know me - I have to have some projects. So this unit belonged to Anne and she didn't want to take it to her new place in Scotland - hence she gave it to me for my balcony. It didn't go with my colours I was using - therefore I decided to re-paint it. What do you think? The highlights of the 'fancy' bits on the doors is done with gold wax. The blue was painted with Ffjord Satinado from Leroy Merlin.

Hi all - This is one of my latest small projects for a neighbour - I have done a lot more projects over last few months, but because I've been so busy I haven't had chance to post them yet. Hopefully in the next week or so I may be able to post some of my latest projects. You will see on the 'Before' pictures the chest is made in a veneer and was not in good condition. Hence on the top I have used Textured Wallpaper and also used Pearlescent Metallic Paint. I posted the small side table yesterday so here is the coffee table I repainted. It went from cream to a dark blue and the other day to the light blue - hope you like this one 😘

I have become, over the past few months, a 'Hometalk Helper' - not sure if you know what 'hometalk' is or even heard of? But.. it is an online platform that enables people to improve their living spaces through DIY. Founded in 2011 and based in New York City. A Room Divider - you have heard of these, but perhaps you have never considered them to be an alternative when it comes to using them outside?
We live in a villa in Spain and have a swimming pool and an outside shower, but we don't want to look at the shower all the time when we are chilling. So, I was wondering what we could use to hide it as and when we want. I then came up with the idea of using a Room Divider, but didn't want to pay a fortune for it. In Spain we have lots of Chinese shops and everything they sell is quite cheap. I went to have a look for one and they had one with a nice print on it for 49.99 euros. But..... unfortunately we had a lot of rain one day and we forgot to bring it inside and it didn't have a protection coat on it, i.e. varnish.
Anyway, needless to say, it got damaged in the fact that the rain washed away all of the print!. I decided to re-paint it in Rustoleum Winter Grey.
The next day I completed the stencilling which I purchased The Foliate Damask Wall Stencil from the Royal Design Studio - Standard Size which is 18.75" x 18.75" and put that on the Divider. It was very easy to do.
