A new beating heart for the community

Maria Carta Square is conceived as a place of encounter, reflection, and play.
At its centre rises a great sculpture of v***r, a dynamic and interactive installation that changes shape over time — much like the life of the community that surrounds it. Water, a primordial element, gathers on the ground creating a magical mirror, where each person can see themselves reflected: a symbol of shared identity, memory, and future.

This square is a social and playful platform, where everyday life meets beauty: spaces to pause and meet, restaurants and cafés overlooking the promenade, green lawns with benches, shaded areas, and playgrounds for children. Every element contributes to an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and full of life.
• The design celebrates sustainability and respect for natural materials, through a careful selection of textures and finishes that dialogue with light and the surrounding landscape.
The landscape design is based on the use of native plant species — trees and shrubs typical of the region, chosen for their resilience and their ability to express the authentic spirit of the place. Their seasonal blooms and shifting colors turn the square into a living organism, in harmony with the natural rhythm of time.

• Maria Carta Square is a tribute to the community: a space that breathes with it, welcomes it, and reflects it.
A place to meet, to recognize oneself, and to celebrate life together in the present moment.

NàBITO architects The Stairscraper

Our first prize 🥇in the TOTAL HOUSING Storefront for art and architecture competition in NEW YORK re-edited for a new adventure. Stay with us.
•Rising like a living sculpture from the landscape, this latest concept by NàBITO architects transforms the traditional tower into a vibrant twisted ecosystem. A spiraling structure wraps elegantly around a central core, creating wide 360-degree balconies on every level. This unique form turns the verticality of a classical high-rise into a sequence of stacked villas—each with its own panoramic terrace and private garden.
By merging organic geometry with a bold sustainable vision, NàBITO proposes more than just a building—it’s a new model for living. A biophilic landmark where architecture, landscape, and light spiral together toward a greener urban future.

here´s the last pictures of the amazing VILLA LAVA, Santa Tecla, Acireale.

Villa Lava is a private residence located in Santa Tecla, in the province of Acireale, on the eastern coast of Sicily. The project is a unique architectural blend - the union of two houses in one big Villa. On one side is an old fisherman’s house dating from around 1900, which has been completely restored by Nábito Architects, carefully uncovering and preserving the original lava stone vaults. On the other side, the old restored house is connected to a modern extension that opens to the sea, designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape of coastal stone, local vegetation and the ever-present Mediterranean horizon.

This duality is the soul of Villa Lava. One part looks inwards, towards the historic heart of Santa Tecla, holding on to its past and memory. The other part looks outwards, towards the open sea, with contemporary lines and large openings that connect the interior to nature. The villa is squeezed between three powerful forces: the sea, Mount Etna and the Timpa nature reserve, creating a setting that is both dramatic and intimate.

play a central role throughout the project. From the rough volcanic stone walls to the handmade terracotta pots, from the layered interior fabrics to the natural transitions between old and new materials, Nábito Architects have deliberately kept surfaces vibrant and authentic. Texture is not just decorative here; it’s the tactile language that bridges time, place and memory, allowing the villa to speak to both its past and its present, while respecting the environment.

Discreet details add a handcrafted, personal touch. Outside, selected Mediterranean vegetation, including prickly pear cactus, enhances the villa’s relationship with its rugged volcanic context. The client wished to preserve select original furniture from the old fisherman’s house, seeing them not as relics, but as living traces that connect the new villa to its Sicilian roots.

Here´s our settled proposal for Ventalló primary School, ,

The Primary School in Ventalló, Spain, is a learning environment designed as a “building machine” that harmonizes with its rural surroundings.

Constructed with an Xlam and panels, the school embraces natural materials for durability and thermal efficiency. The roof, a dynamic composition of square volumes at varying heights, facilitates natural light entry and air circulation, ensuring comfort and .
•Inspired by the agricultural patterns of the landscape, the roof design mimics the surrounding fields, integrating the school seamlessly into its environment while improving a strong connection between nature and education.

•Second phase for Cesa square settled, we are proud to announce and show our proposal!! Another award for this season. second prize 🏆
•The proposal aims to create an urban public space that acts as a bio-climatic shelter, a protected oasis within the city. The main objective is to realise an inclusive, green, sustainable and a safe public space that can improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, promoting social interaction and a sense of community. Through the adoption of design strategies aimed at environmental sustainability, the use of eco-compatible materials with respect to the circular economy and reuse, it is expected to significantly improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, favouring a stronger sense of community and social interaction. The square will be a landmark for social sustainability and a pole of attraction, while respecting its history and context.

The garden is formed by creating a different elevation, raising a portion of the square, providing privacy and protection from the two driveways that lap the lot. The curved and sinuous forms symbolise an embrace, conveying a sense of welcome and inclusiveness for people of all ages; the space accommodates flexible and variable functions. The raised plaza fits harmoniously into the urban context, offering a quiet space protected from vehicular traffic. Designed with ecological materials such as corten steel, local stone and permeable paving, it creates a welcoming and sustainable atmosphere.

The prevalent presence of a garden with native vegetation, with plants reflecting local biodiversity, enriches the environment and promotes biodiversity. This bio-climatic refuge, sheltered from the noise and dust of driveways, becomes a green oasis where residents can enjoy a favourable microclimate, thanks also to the choice of shrubs and trees that provide shade in the hot months, optimise rainwater management (which will be collected for irrigation and cooling), and improve air quality and comfort for users.

“Between spheres” is to imagine a new biosphere!
More current than ever the for the expo 99+imaginaris at is less utopian then before and every day always more real!
Meta example is a drawing that represent a new Eden, an optimistic utopia, life-generating.
It is a vertically widened widening. It is made up of blocks stacked as light platforms that are joined together by a structure of poles and pneumatic elevators. It develops gradually over time, vertically above the grown level, (which is nowadays a more possible scenario) under a geodesic dome where the “climate” is rigorously controlled. Energy is produced from ocean currents, air and sun and no fossil fuels or walls are needed for protection. A Barcelona emerges underwater and leaves space and air to a playful, happy, airy and light multi-village.
These are Pond towers that generate life from the water with different intermingled functions
for production (cultivation towers), for leisure (recreational towers), for culture and for rest (residential towers).
A new “ordered” free community, in harmony with nature, between species, without distinctions between genders, races or social classes. A nomadic global village intertwined, floating and slow-life. Food is self-produced on shared platforms, construction is fully automated. The citizenry lives away from stress and in an edonistic way. It is a clear reference to Costant and his , , and

NAMA building, international , Settled competition.
The conversion project of an old building in the historic centre of Podgorica, Montenegro, aims to revitalise a
space with history, transforming it into a for innovation and a
This new centre will become a beacon of creativity and progress, serving as a reference for the community and a symbol of contemporary innovation. Its design will be the perfect balance between the modern and the
preservation of the past, maintaining the memory of the original building while being open to the needs of the
future.
Architectural :
The building is conceived as a ‘lantern in the sky’, a metaphor that expresses its intention to illuminate and
guide the community towards the future of innovation. This idea is materialised through a facade that
protects the original structure of the building, dressing the skeleton and making room for large windows and
open spaces that invite and the exchange of ideas. The acts as a bioclimatic filter, a warm air chamber for the winter that transforms into a ventilation space in summer. At night, the building is a light in the urban landscape, projecting an aura of modernity and dynamism, reinforcing its role as a
centre of creative energy a place where new ideas are born and transformed into businesses. The skirt is
also a symbol for the female name of the old building and a tribute also to improve the women
empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Although the approach is contemporary, the project will respect and preserve key elements of the original
building, integrating some architectural details that evoke its history (like the first mechanical stair) and its
entire armed concrete structure with its rhythm and form adding a new layer of functional modernity.
The main idea is to design a building that resonates with the environment and the community and
incorporates public spaces at all levels; an architectural space designed with a holistic approach that not only
physically integrates with its surroundings, but also fosters a deep connection with the surrounding
