Some spaces stay with you long after you’ve left them.

Skyline was one of those spaces.

Designed by , it imagined the experience of arriving at a grand hotel: stepping out of the lift, leaving the city behind and entering a world of warmth, elegance and discovery. Rich materials, soft lighting, reflections and carefully chosen details came together to create a space that felt both sophisticated and welcoming.

One of the unforgettable installations from a past edition of MIAD, and a reminder of how design can transport us somewhere else, even for a moment.

We’re already looking forward to sharing the spaces that will define the 3rd edition of MIAD at Matadero Madrid, from 20–31 October 2026.

Why Nave 15?

When we started looking for the home of MIAD 2026, we weren’t searching for a conventional venue.

We were looking for a place with a story.

Nave 15 at Matadero Madrid is one of the most fascinating examples of architectural transformation in recent years. Originally adapted in 2011 by architects María Langarita and Víctor Navarro for the Red Bull Music Academy, the space became an internationally recognized project, celebrated for its innovative approach to reuse, flexibility and contemporary design.

More than a venue, it is a statement. A place that proves existing structures can be reimagined, reactivated and given a new purpose.

From 20–31 October 2026, designers, brands, artists and creative studios will have the opportunity to create their own installations within this remarkable setting and become part of its next chapter.

If you are interested in exhibiting, we would love to hear from you.

In MIAD 2025, Nothing Alabama, designed by Angelina Sanz for Nothing Studio and presented by Porcelanosa, reimagined the bathroom as a sanctuary of elegance and serenity.

Natural stone, warm woods and copper details came together to create an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and deeply personal.

More than a bathroom, it was a sensory experience designed to celebrate everyday rituals through materiality, craftsmanship and atmosphere.

In the first edition of MIAD Alfonso & Damian created a space alongside Global TV where technology, architecture and interior design came together to redefine the idea of contemporary living and working. Soft forms, integrated systems and carefully curated materials created an environment where innovation felt seamless, elegant and deeply human.

From immersive audiovisual experiences to lighting, acoustics and smart integration, the project explored how technology can enhance everyday life while remaining warm, functional and refined.

Every space begins with a threshold.

At MIAD, entrances are more than transitions, they are the first gesture, the first emotion, the moment where curiosity takes over. Doors open, perspectives shift, and each step invites you deeper into a carefully crafted world.

From sculptural passages to immersive corridors, these spaces reveal what lies beyond while hinting at what’s still to come.

Be ready to discover what awaits behind MIAD’s 2026 edition doors next October.

What truly shapes MIAD is not only the spaces, but the people who experience them.

Across past editions, visitors, designers, brands and creatives come together to share ideas, discover new perspectives and connect through a common passion for design. Conversations start naturally, collaborations take form, and every space becomes a meeting point.

It’s a place to slow down, explore, exchange views and be inspired, whether you’re walking through an installation, attending a talk or simply enjoying the atmosphere.

MIAD is as much about the community as it is about the design.

We look forward to welcoming you again in 2026.
