Made of Light, unveils a selection of previously unseen works chosen by Benjamin Pelletier following in-depth research into Georges Pelletier’s archives from the 1960s–1980s.

Based on these projects, Benjamin Pelletier brings sculptures, lamps, and rare pieces back to life, faithfully respecting the original techniques.

Balancing homage and transmission, the exhibition highlights a more experimental and visionary facet of Georges Pelletier’s work.

Save the date ‘Made of Light’, Benjamin Pelletier’s upcoming exhibition, opening 3 April from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
The works on display were created by Benjamin, who drew inspiration from the sculptural lamps made by his father, Georges Pelletier, between the 1960s and 1980s.

The InMundus appears as a liminal figure, suspended between the residual and the original, between the ancestral and that which has not yet been named. Its form -ambiguous, soft, almost animalistic- refers both to the amoeboid creatures of the beginnings of the world and to the industrial silhouettes of the future. In it, domestic and genetic mythologies of the Mediterranean intersect: the Phoenician cat, the Ibizan fameliars, the shadow of the sacred that seeped into the everyday. It is not a closed symbol, but a presence that vibrates from the collective intuition, a cultural memory condensed in gesture more than in figure.

The InMundus are, in essence, survivors of another logic: not linear, not narrative, but relational and emotional. They are unchosen forms that have nevertheless manifested themselves, evoking a mystical genealogy that crosses cultures, animals and technologies. Their communication is vibratory, sonorous, immediate, and their existence is marked by the desire for unity, for fusion. Thus, more than sculptures or creatures, they are presences - echoes of what we were and anticipations of what we still do not know how to name.
