TCD took part in the refurbishment of an old Jugend-style building called Villa Tuglas by making new lightning, kitchen and bathroom layouts according to modern needs. The is villa named after a famous resident, the Estonian writer and culture figure Friedebert Tuglas who used to live there in exile during the Russian revolution. So, if you favour yourself an old villa in the Helsinki suburb, here is your chance, since it is on sale at the moment.

When all the three building blocks are aligned and well executed, we have ourselves a product that is pleasant to live in (and for the designer to visit and snap few photos, like I managed to do yesterday).
But what are those elements mentioned earlier you say. Wel, they are coherent architecture that carefully places the house in its surroundings, Interior architecture that is welcoming and functional, careful and skillful workmanship and finally the loving touch of the client putting the last pieces of the puzzle into place.
