What is Yatofu? Is it a food trend? A new form of Yoga? Some kind of animal? Well, not quite. Yatofu Creatives is a Helsinki based creative studio, formed on the belief that great design not only meets visual and functional requirements, but also creates meaningful experiences and a lasting resonance.

Food reflects culture, memories, and the people who gather around it.

For nearly 20 years, a beloved Singaporean wok restaurant occupied this corner, becoming part of many people’s memories. As moved in, we wanted to honour that history while creating a new chapter for the space.

Inspired by the vivid atmosphere of Asian night food alleyways, we brought familiar elements into the restaurant — neon signs, hanging street lamps, the bustle of the kitchen, and the iconic red stools.🀄️

We hope Noodle Story will continue creating memorable moments for many years to come.🥢

🍒Since the first we designed, warmth and togetherness have always been key concepts in our design process.
Inspired by the atmosphere of cozy yet vivid Asian alleyways, we created the newest Noodle Story restaurant in Kamppi, Helsinki — a space centered around an over-2-meter-long communal table, with bespoke seating designed by us placed throughout the space, inviting people to gather, share, and slow down together.🫖

Always great to see our projects doing well and holding up beautifully years after completion. Teahouse is still thriving after five years, and it’s rewarding to see how the materials have developed a natural patina over time, with plants slowly climbing along the brick walls. 🌱

Today, we revisited the project and had the pleasure of showcasing it to the from Belgium during their architecture and design trip, while sharing some cold brew tea together🍵. Warm greetings from Helsinki!

In Garden Gallery Residence, we bravely yet thoughtfully transformed the apartment into a living space fulfilled with art that blends together with daily life.

It's a pleasure to work with many talented artists and artisans closely during the process. In order to memorize it, we made this short film, hope you feel the time and passion all of us put into this project.

Looking back at YATOFU & FRIENDS, the event we organized earlier in Shanghai.

Unpacking works, adjusting details, figuring out how everything sits together. Quietly shaping the space into something we could share.

The idea was simply to bring together designers and artists from Finland / Finland-based, and open up a conversation around cross-cultural design and locality.

New space in Shenzhen.

This time, we’re exploring a lightweight stainless steel framework as a flexible system - bringing together structure, display, lighting, and storage into one cohesive setup. It works both as the backbone and the atmosphere, blending Popsockets’ playful products into a market-like environment that invites people to browse, discover, and interact.🕵️‍♂️
