And it really was just as simple as that! 😅

We jumped on the 'bench behind the couch' bandwagon. Absolutely love it. Now to decorate it properly and not just grab random s**t and put it on there.

We decided to go on a short walk through the woods which ended up in us accidently hiking up a mountain right before sunset. When we realised our mistake we had no choice but to slide down on our asses as the path was too slippy. I haven't laughed that hard in years!

How to make a tulle collar or sleeve:

I layered 7 layers of tulle, you'll need about 3 times the final length that you want as it is going to be bunched up.

Sew along one edge of the the tulle. Leave a long piece of thread on each side. You'll need two close parallel lines of loose running stitches (setting 4 on my Singer sewing machine). Tie a knot in one end and then get the two front pieces of thread and bunch the tulle by gently pulling on them. Once it is all bunched tie it in a knot.

Using pins, secure a piece of elastic to the top edge of tulle (along where you have sewn). Measure the elastic around the area it is intended for (ankle, wrist, etc.) For the neck collar, I used a long piece of ribbon so I can tie in a bow.
Once the elastic/ribbon is secured sew it in place and close the ends to make a cuff (or left open with ribbon.)

Finally separate each layer to puff the collar up and that's it! 🌈

St Patrick's Day Parade ready. I had so much fun making this. I want to make more things with tulle!

I had a vision! Fringe around the bottom of my lampshade. In a funny pop of colour. Alas, it did not work. It is the wrong colour. Maybe light rose pink?
I just stuck it on with double sided tape that held firm but peeled right off so at least it was easy to rectify.

Another reason to shop small I guess! I was not aware that an Alexa tells you what you've ordered on Amazon so when my daughter came in to tell me this morning that her Alexa told her a delivery was coming and what was in it, I was shocked to say the least. Maybe everyone knows this already. 😅 So just in case you don't and seeing as it's nearly Christmas, maybe you need to do the same!
