The clay office is too warm today because I have the kiln on, so I decided to move outside. I even picked a few flowers to join me on the terrace. Because why not? 🙂

What a privilege to call this my job on a warm August day like today. 🌸

And yes, I googled it , the French song I added seems to be about the time of faded flowers. But to my ears (really bad french here 👋🏻) , it just sounds like the feeling I have today. 🙂 And although I hope the dahlias in the garden will keep blooming for many weeks still, I also know that some years the frost comes as early as the first days of September

Life has been throwing lemons my way lately. First I broke my nose, and a week later my parents’ house caught fire. Thankfully, everyone is okay, and my nose is still hanging on.

These new vases came from the oven yesterday and next week I will try to get some well needed clay office days.

Our 10-day course has come to an end here in Japan. I’ve learned so much that it almost feels like I’ve been doing things totally wrong before , or at least that there seem to be better ways of doing things 😅
I will bring that home with me ❤️

We lived up in the mountains, so there was an everyday ride up and down the hill, with stunning views. The waterfall was just next to senseis studio.
One evening&day we visited Furukawa Festival and we also got to follow the trees leafing out, the cherry blossoms. Magnolia in the wild and and

So many other things . Not to forget the food. Think I will ned a month of sallad diet after this . grateful for this experience.

Now I have a few days to explore Japan, but it surely feels like a country you want to return to.
