I think I were maybe 7 years old when I came first time to Pyynikin outdoor theater with my parents. Summer theater has been tradition in our family and I am so happy to be able to see this version of Unknown Soldier written by Finnish author Väinö Linna. If you are around area of Tampere this summer and you are able to some tickets do so! Play is really good and touching.

Lunch today was from . I love their concept. You get little taste from all of their wonderful fish. I needed to get some gin graved white fish too. Expat Finn is in heaven. Did you know that library comes even to oddest corners of Finland as buss. Wonderful service that makes sure you have books to read 🫶🏻

I usually go nuts with summer flowers at home in Austria. Since I am spending longer time in Finland this year I got some lovely flowers from from Orivesi. They are such a good quality!

Perfect way to spend the first day in the summer house! Netflix and crocheting 🧶 One of the tens of projects that I have started but never brought to finish. Making a blanket.

It’s good to be home! I’m sitting in summer house terrace and enjoying mild evening. In the forest behind me is cuckoo bird cuckooing. From lake I hear seagulls and swans. Otherwise is just quiet. Balsam for my Finnish soul.

I am off to Finland for summer and tonight I had last ladies sauna with my good friend. It’s first time that I will be away from home 🇦🇹 for such a long time.

I have this odd feeling of joy being able to spend so much time with my Finnish family but then again there’s this longing feeling leaving my adopted family and my friends behind here for whole summer.

This is the curse and blessing when you live and live people and places in two different countries.

I had a wonderful lunch with my best friend in Restaurant Wassertor in Schärding today. It’s not often when you see calf sweetbreads on menu nowadays so I absolutely had to have it. So tasty! My main course was wood garlic tortellini. It was nice to eat and enjoy some time together. Thank you my dearest friend 🫶🏻
