My kind of winter blues 💙

Finished my by — and as always, every finished sweater must pass the dance test. If you can dance in it, it’s a good sweater 💃🧶

This has become our little tradition.
One gift that gathers my birthday, Tobias’ birthday, and Christmas all together — and it’s always an adventure.

It’s one of my favorite days of the year. Not because of what we receive, but because of what we live. Time together, memories made, places discovered.

We try to show the kids that adventures last longer than things. That experiences stay with you, shape you, and become part of who you are.

This one already feels like a memory we’ll keep. 💛✨

✨ Enchanted by Color 🌼✨

I couldn’t resist this flower by the name of tansy 🌼
• English: Tansy
• French: Tanaisie (Tanacetum vulgare
I just wanted to hold it, study it, walk with it for a while.

There’s something about plants and wool — how one slowly transforms into the other.
Water, heat, time… and suddenly color appears, almost like a secret revealed.

This is what still amazes me — how much magic lives in simple things, and how wool never stops becoming. 🌼

✨ Handmade Satisfaction ✨

I’ve been quiet for a little while — knitting kept me busy and away from my phone, and honestly, it felt good.
There’s no greater satisfaction than making something with your own hands.

This is my pattern by is knit with my very own yarn 🙌🏼. I used blues I carded and mixed myself, with a touch of wool from my very own brown merino sheep. I don’t know why I waited so long to knit with my own yarn 🧶… Handmade takes time (a long time), but it’s always worth it.

And yes… I’m wearing my by — one of my favorite designers. The yarn is , a gift from a dear friend 🥰 and I wish I could buy it here in France. Held together with mohair from . Mixing these two yarns was just perfection ✨.

I love my beanie.
I love this sweater.
I love that I made it.
And I love that I’m finally making things for myself again.

🧶💙✨

✨ Wintering ✨

Every year, I return to the book ~ Wintering ~ by Katherine May. I think it’s because I need the reminder — that we move through seasons, inside and out.

I have a complicated relationship with winter. I love it, but it also takes something from me. The stillness, the cold, the shorter days — it slows me and it invites me to hibernate.

But I’m learning to live with it, to listen to it. Knitting has helped. Wool has helped. The rhythm of my hands, the warmth of the fibers, they remind me that winter isn’t an ending — it’s a slow beginning.

As Katherine May writes,

“We have seasons when we flourish and seasons when the leaves fall from us, revealing our bare bones. Given time, they grow again.”

I think I’m growing again — quietly, slowly, softly. ❄️🧶
