Thank you to Jackie Bowles for inviting me to teach today to a lovely group. Such a fun morning! Many were completely new to needle felting and did an amazing job 🥰👍🏼
We used wool from Claire’s Crafts Create which is fantastic and brings up many memories of lovely Claire who is missed so much ❤️

I am devastated to hear the sad news of the passing of my lovely friend Claire Vines at Claire’s Crafts Create
For anyone who has attended a workshop with me online or at Hobbycraft, it was all thanks to Claire for supplying the most beautiful wool for us to use.
Claire was so supportive and kind and I am so grateful to have known her.
RIP my beautiful friend 💕

The special preview and emergency art sale includes work from over 50 international artists including work by Lesia Khomenko, Oleksiy Sai, Nikita Kadan, Pavlo Makov, Ukrainian artists who are displaced or currently sheltering from the war zone, as well as work by UK based artists.

Funds raised for ArtistsForUkraine, will go directly to support ‘Kuhknia’ (Kitchen) a private network of artists and activist volunteers who are cooking meals, sourcing medicine and other vital supplies and arranging temporary accommodation for refugees stranded in Western Ukraine.

Every time I sit down to do a felting project I am reminded that I couldn’t do what I do without the help and support I have from my amazing suppliers!
I don’t have a flock of sheep 🐑 to produce my own wool but one call to Claire’s Crafts is all that’s needed to be supplied with beautiful DGH wool, needles, felting mats and needle felting projects such as this poppy making kit!
And every time I make a brooch, I reach for the beautiful fibres spun by my friend Kera No Moths Allowed who produces Indian sari silk, rose fibre, bamboo, angelina and banana to name just a few!
Huge thanks to Claire & Kera for all that you do! Xx
