Foraging for wild spring fennel and thyme. This is just one of the things I love about Provence, the wild herbs that are ubiquitous in the area. I’ll dry the thyme and wild fennel fronds for later use; the fennel stalks l’ll use now for grilled fish.

During my last whirlwind trip through Paris I headed over to the Louvre Museum to spend a few hours before my hotel room was ready to check in. I walked quietly around this beautiful statue The Winged Victory of Samothrace in awe. Little did I know the first chapter of The Adventures in the Louvre by would be all about this masterpiece. Caught the Olympic spirit this weekend with a short weekend trip to Milano. Have only ever passed through Milano and never stayed. But it won’t be the last time I’m there….what a great city. Shared meals with the most lovely local Italians () and walked all over the city and Olympic venues. Did a little shopping too .. hey! it’s Milano! Grazie!!
This is one of the best things about living in the South of France, the ability to get to other amazing countries in just a couple of hours drive.
