The other week, passing the Stockholm Gas Works jugend style building (1903-06 by Ferdinand Boberg) sent me off in a spiral of inspiration - pun intended🌀
Jugend / Art Nouveau is characterized by organic lines, forms and motifs inspired by nature. Here, the spiral shape of the nautilus shell - harmony and balance - the golden ratio.

La beauté de Svindersvik - an 18th century summer estate located just outside of Stockholm city centre.

Decorated by the architect Carl Hårleman, the man in charge of the Swedish royal palace, who refined and adapted the ornate French rococo style to Svindersvik’s smaller format.

Hand-painted original Chinese wallpapers, magnificent tiled stoves (one is the tallest in Sweden I heard…), clashes of colors and patterns yet a soothing expression… and the amazing light✨

🇩🇰 COPENHAGEN is always a good idea! But having only 8hrs in town yesterday was a challenge… so little time and SO much I wanted to do😅
Well, an excuse to come back soon for more food, wine and design. What I did, which was really really ’hygge’:

• Explore the cool mix at (where I saw another sign of reliefs being added to contemporary spaces… more about that in another post..)
• Lunch at
• Stroll around Frederiksberg and admire all beautiful houses and gardens
• Explore antique and vintage shops
• Give some attention to the 250 year-old
• Apéro at
• Visit
• Drool over great Danish design and fashion (here, the fall collection at )
• Get something for the table setting at
• Dinner at .21
• and… pause at any cosy square or street
