Archives ‘89: Back when copy shops were my print studios. I found this spot that printed architectural floorplans — huge, crisp, black & white sheets. Perfect for my paste-ups.

That day, I walked out and headed to Harlem with my heroine blown up taller than me, folded under my arm, smelling like toner and revolution.
Pasted her on a wall before sunrise.

I kept pasting them across Harlem walls, one by one. The local kids would stop and stare — they loved the superheroines.
But one day, a kid asked me why they were all white.

That question stuck with me for life.

But that’s the thing about street art — it’s not meant to last.
It’s meant to haunt.

Archives ‘89: Rolling out with the crew, tagging alleys and subway tunnels. I was never really good at tagging, so I started experimenting with stencils. We’d finish before sunrise, then hit the clubs where the energy matched the art. Those nights shaped everything.

Back in ‘89, the streets of NYC were our playground. We’d roll out with the crew at midnight, spray cans in hand, hitting up alleys and subway tunnels. The city was buzzing—graffiti wasn’t just art, it was rebellion. I remember starting to experiment with stencils while the others tagged walls—something about the precision of it felt right.

We’d wrap up before sunrise, then hit a club in some sketchy corner of the Lower East Side, where the DJs spun beats that matched the adrenaline from earlier. The city never slept, and neither did we. Graffiti, music, and the streets—it all felt like one big electric current pulsing through our veins. Those were the days when art was raw, and the streets were the only gallery that mattered.

Looking back now, it’s crazy to see how far things have come. But man, those nights shaped everything. 🖤
