PINTO × MEGUMI ITO
Suspension

Five shades, five traditional Japanese knots, in dialogue with the Sh***ri and Des Tresses collections. Washi paper from a small workshop on an island off Hiroshima. Cotton ropes dyed with red cabbage, gathered under a black iron bar. Not two worlds side by side, but a third language.

“I don’t believe light exists only to make things visible. Sometimes, it exists to live with the darkness.” Megumi Ito

GALKA
PINTO × Mehdi Dakhli

Soft, generous curves meet a strong architectural presence, creating a piece that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. Upholstered in a subtle neutral textile, GALKA sits in dialogue with the layered interiors of Maison PINTO, between craftsmanship, materiality and form.

TRÔNE DE TOUTANKHAMON

Italian work, circa 1930. This pair of sculpted and polychromed armchairs reinterprets the Throne of Tutankhamun, with falcon-shaped armrests, lion-headed legs and a carved scene depicting Tutankhamun and Queen Ankhesenamun beneath the winged solar disk.
A striking expression of the fascination with ancient Egypt that defined the interwar period.

PINTO × MEHDI DAKHLI
Galka · Pinto and Friends

Fahad Hariri and Mehdi Dakhli on Galka, rue d’Aboukir. A two-seat sofa born of a shared idea of design as sculpture. Pebbles polished by time, the bone structures that hold living things upright: walnut runs through the upholstered volumes like a skeleton through muscle and skin. Two people side by side, arms on the inclined back, or one person reading.

“I like the idea that a piece of furniture can stir emotion before it is even used. That design can be at once poetic, functional and profoundly alive.” Fahad Hariri, Creative Director

“We are both storytellers, using design to translate memories, emotions and cultural influences into contemporary forms.” Mehdi Dakhli
