A remarkable four days at Homo Faber in Venice.

Studio Marianne Guély had the honour of taking part in the 2026 edition of Homo Faber, curated by Artistic Director and designer Es Devlin.

For four days, Marianne Guély presented Live Demo, inviting visitors to discover her practice from within the intimacy of the workshop: watching her work by hand and revealing the techniques she has developed over more than twenty years, including her distinctive paper-cutting craftsmanship.

Alongside the reconstructed atelier table, a showcase presented Papercroc, the unique timepiece created by Studio Marianne Guély in collaboration with Vacheron Constantin, as part of the Maison’s One of Not Many Crafts programme.

These four days offered a truly exceptional opportunity to meet an attentive and curious audience, fascinated by the precision, patience and poetry of working with paper — and to share conversations and encounters that will continue beyond Venice.

The response to this edition of Homo Faber has been exceptional. Conceived by the Michelangelo Foundation and its team, under the artistic direction of Es Devlin, the exhibition created a deeply sensory and emotional experience, celebrating craftsmanship and placing the work of the hand at the heart of the journey.

Studio Marianne Guély is deeply honoured to have been invited once again to share its savoir-faire as a craft studio dedicated to paper for more than twenty years.

A beautiful celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and the endless possibilities of paper.

Miniature paper sculpting.
A crocodile.
A dream.

For Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art Tribute to the Animal Kingdom, Studio Marianne Guély was invited to bring the art of paper sculpture into the extraordinary world of haute horlogerie.

The result is Papercroc.

A white crocodile, hidden within snow-covered vegetation, appears to have been sculpted from ice.

But look closer.

It is entirely made from white cotton paper, delicately cut, embossed and assembled by hand.

At just 3 mm high, layer upon layer of paper creates subtle reliefs and depth, transforming an unexpected material into a miniature work of art.

A dream Marianne Guély had nurtured for years — and one that finally found its way onto a Vacheron Constantin watch dial.

Paper meets time.
Craft meets precision.
A dream becomes reality.
