Paris was founded in 2008 on this challenge : designing new items with materials and craftsmen we had not met yet, in countries forgotten by international trade. During our first trip to Albania, and thanks to the meeting of a gipsy hammersmith, we came up with the design collection of furniture tribute to scandivian icons, tailored in metal from scraps found on the spot : cans, bonnets, car motor
s and steel barrels. This first collaborative design experience "off the beaten track" called for many others and facilitated the meeting of new craftsmen, craft fanatics, material lovers, opened and ready to explore local material uses. Material imperfections, color variations, sheen, assembling marks are the signature of a long and precise craft work, making each piece unique. Support, follow-up and first quality controls are guaranted by a local association specialized in craft. By doing so Po! Paris links together sustainable development and creative design by bringing isolated know-how to international markets. Today, while continuing our partnership with Albania, Po ! Paris venture to explore new horizons, craftsmen and materials in Uganda. Paris is proud to introduce its designs.
