Make the most of the final weekend of Motion Sickness, exploring a decade of kinetic experimentation through movement, materials and mechanisms. Alongside the exhibition, discover our other London Design Festival installations across the Sloane Square flagship, including Jig Studio, bringing together six internationally recognised contemporary Brazilian designers and artists, and Thresholds, curated by Stella Smith.

Motion Sickness

A selection of models and movement tests from the studio.

Isabel + Helen often use physical experimentation as a way of testing and developing ideas. As much of their work incorporates elements of engineering, movement or visual effects, making models helps visualise concepts, test theories and understand how an idea might work in practice before scaling up. They provide a space for development and adjustment throughout the design process, while also helping to assess the practicalities of fabrication.

Motion Sickness reveals the process behind the practice of Isabel + Helen. On view until Sunday 20 September.

The presentation brings together six internationally recognised contemporary Brazilian designers and artists whose practices span collectible furniture, lighting, textiles and sculptural works. While each voice is distinct, they share a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, material intelligence and authorship, offering a contemporary perspective shaped by Brazil’s rich cultural heritage. All works are available for purchase throughout the exhibition

Located in Soho, London, JIG Studio is a hybrid gallery, showroom and cultural platform dedicated exclusively to contemporary Brazilian collectible design. Founded by architect Richard Penman and Brazilian design strategist Grace Nemeth, JIG Studio represents leading contemporary Brazilian designers and artists through exclusive partnerships in the United Kingdom. Through exhibitions, commissions and cultural collaborations, the gallery connects Brazilian creative practice with the international design community.
