Original gilding, superb condition.

Florentine renaissance style architectural frame.
Altarpiece shape.
Incredible work, entirely carved in wood, pastiglia and gilt with gold leaf.
Sgraffito in dark blue. Punched background.
Italy end of XIXth or early XXth century.

Perfect original condition, worn parts visible made on purpose to cheat the viewer into believing the frame is 400 years old.
Comparable to the works of Vannoni for example.
Certainly coming from the same workshop as the previous cinquecento style frame shown in the previous and next post.
