Sometimes something happens that makes a story suddenlv feel even more real.
When I started writing about Aimée, the main character in my book, she existed only in my thoughts. Step by step, she was given a voice, a past, dreams, and secrets. And now she has been brought to life in a beautiful drawing, created by a talented artist in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Danielle Alarcon Dalvin, the village where my book is largelv set.
What makes this drawing extra specia to me is the kimono Aimée wears. That kimono plays an important role in the story and harbors a secret that is slowly being revealed. To make the story even more tangible, I actually had that same kimono made by a seamstress.

It is special to see how different forms of creativity come together. Words, fabric, needle and thread, paint, ana paper tell the same story together. A story that once beqan as a small idea and is now becoming visible piece by piece. And perhaps that is the most remarkable aspect of this entire process: that Aimée no longer exists only on my pages, but is slowly beginning to lead a life of her own in images, in fabric, and in the imagination of others..
