🇫🇷✨ **A Well-Earned Day Off at Château Chomet!** ✨🇫🇷

Bonjour Mes Amis!
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.....
After a very busy week of maintenance at Château Chomet, we finally decided it was time to put the tools down and enjoy a day off! 🏰💕
And what better way to spend it than with a little trip to a French brocante? 😍 You just never know what treasures you’re going to find!
Of course, we couldn’t come home empty-handed… even though I have plenty!😂 We found some lovely new additions for the château, including a **beautiful painting** and some gorgeous sconces for one of the news rooms plus 2 **candelabras** that we think will look right at home in the new dinning room.
And Dave found his own treasure… **a yes album!** 🎶😂
It was so nice to have a day away from the maintenance, wander around looking for hidden gems and, of course, bring a few more pieces of French history back to Château Chomet.
Now we just need to finish the rooms to put them in!😂🏰

Bonjour Mes Amis,
Hope you're all enjoying the summer! ☀️
With the beautiful weather we've been having, it's the perfect opportunity to tackle some of those important jobs before winter arrives—especially tracking down and fixing any leaks!
This week we've been working on the guttering around the barn and repointing sections of the château. The only problem was... even our longest ladder wasn't tall enough to reach! Thankfully, a friend came to the rescue and lent us some scaffolding—which only just squeezed into the van!
It was perfect for getting started on the barn, but we've quickly discovered it's still nowhere near tall enough to reach the front of the château. I don't think I ever truly appreciated just how high the building is until we tried to get above the sections between the floors!
Nothing is ever straightforward when you own a château, but every little job brings us one step closer. We still have a long way to go to bring the château back to life after being abandoned for so long, but we're enjoying every challenge along the way, and we can't wait to share the journey with you all. ❤️

Bonjour Mes Amis,
This weekend was one of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude.
This weekend marked what would have been my Mother's birthday. Like so many of us who have lost someone we love, birthdays can be bittersweet. The years may pass, but the love never fades, and neither do the memories.
To celebrate her life, I spent the weekend at the beautiful Palace of Versailles. Walking through the magnificent gardens, admiring the breathtaking architecture, and taking in the history and beauty all around me gave me time to reflect on the wonderful memories we shared. I couldn't help but think how much she would have enjoyed every moment.
Grief never really goes away… it just changes shape. But love? Love stays. And my love for her only grows stronger with time. It reminded me that although our loved ones may no longer be physically with us, they continue to shape who we are. They live on in our hearts, in the stories we tell, in the traditions we keep, and in the places we choose to visit in their honour.
This weekend wasn't about sadness—it was about celebrating a life well lived, remembering a remarkable woman, and feeling incredibly grateful and blessed to have had her as my Mother.
Happy Birthday, Mum. I missed you this weekend as much as ever. You may be gone from this world, but you live on in me every single day and in everything I do! Thank you for the memories, the love, and for continuing to inspire me every day.

Bonjour Mes Amis!
🎬🏰✨ What a month it’s been!
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of filming for the brand-new series of Chateau DIY, and there’s been so much happening behind the scenes. From taking the first exciting steps in renovating one of our gîtes to beginning work on one of the château’s main rooms, every day has brought new challenges, big achievements, and plenty of magical transformations.
It hasn’t always been easy — the days have been long, the to-do lists even longer — but seeing these spaces come to life has made every moment worthwhile. And of course, there’s been no shortage of laughter along the way!
Filming with JP and Rich has made the experience even more memorable. It’s been filled with teamwork, creativity, unexpected moments, and lots of fun as we capture this next chapter of Château Chomet’s journey. ❤️
We honestly can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on because some truly exciting transformations are on the way... and I can't wait to share them! 🏰✨ For now we need a little break and holiday.

🎬✨ Tonight is the night… where you get to see our first DIY room Project to transform one of the rooms at Château Chomet into my very own craft room! The project is finally being revealed on Chateau DIY 🏰💖
Tune in tonight on Channel 4 at 5pm (Thursday 28th May) and step inside the château to see how Dave and I started our first DIY room Project✨🕯️🌸
It was a huge learning curve, and we had a lot of learning to do, and even a year on we are still learning! 👀🎉
From ideas and dreams to paint, sparkle, storage and creativity… it’s been an incredible journey to finally have my own space!
