Taking place soon on the Saturday 10th and Sunday 11 th July The Summer Pot Fest at the Abbay of St.Sever de Rustan(65)
St Sever de Rustan not only known for it s famous abbay but is also a pittoresque village ,on the banks of the river Arros situated in the very north of the département of the Hautes Pyrénées, neighbouring the département of Gers not far from Villecomptal sur Arros
The Association Pyrene Et Terre has invited 25 professional ceramists to participate in the 1st edition of the Abbay de St Sever Summer Pot Fest..The selection of top ceramic crafts men and women promise a rich diversity of techniques and styles from the arts de table,decorative ware for the garden and contemporian art .
The event is also in partnership with the CAUE who will be showing their exhibition of the multiple uses of clay in both ancient and modern architecture with exquisite technical drawings which not only informative but are themselves works of art
There will be different animations, workshops for children and adults, and also an atelier whereby one can decorate a bowl and then it will be fired using the ancient japanese technique of Raku
Not forgetting musical afternoons with Monsieur Banjo Barjo who will bring his poetic humour to entertain the public
Restauration and bar assured by the Bistro de village
It should be a cracking (pardon.the pun,) day out for all the family, conviviality,initiation,discovery and sharing are the key words for these two days celebrating the best of clay craftmanship

L'association Pyrène & Terre invite 25 céramistes à l'Abbaye de St Sever de Rustan dans les Hautes Pyrénées pour cette première édition du Marché des potiers.
Le marché est en partenariat avec le CAUE qui nous propose une exposition autour de la terre dans tous ses états.Il y aura également des animations avec les ateliers pour les enfants: Pédaloterre et démonstration de cuisson raku, sans oublier les animations musicales avec Mr Banjo Barjo!

Restauration et buvette sur place.
Convivialité, initiation, partage, sont les maîtres mots pour ce rendez-vous!

Through my work i inspire to express that I ,we, and the land are together

This is why i work with wild clay which i resource from what is around me and make my glazes from different wood ashes
Then comes the baptism by fire, i wood fire for over 20 h....upto 1300°C
Whether it be a salad bowl, a vase , a mug,...to hold in the hand....to keep in touch

At the môment very busy in making stoneware ceramic pieces for my coming wood firing in two weeks time....ready for the summer pot fests the first being at the abbay of St Sever de Rustan in the north of the département of the Hautes Pyrénées neighbouring the Gers
