The stretch ceiling is a kind of suspended ceiling system consisting of two basic elements – a profile and lightweight PVC membrane which stretches and clips into the profiles system. In addition to ceilings the system can be used for wall coverings, lightening solutions, suspended panels, stand exhibitions and creative 3D shapes. The stretch ceiling is a 0.18mm thick PVC based fully recyclable st

retch membrane. The membrane comes in a vast range of colors, textures & finishes including lacquer ( glossy), mat, satin, metalic, translucent for lighting solutions, backlighting & projection. It can be also printed, perforated and acoustic for additional effects, is entirely waterproof, washable and impermeable to vapor. The stretch ceiling is maintenance free, hygienic, non toxic and is fire rated to new European standards B s2 d0 in accordance with the EN 14716. Stretch ceiling’s membrane fulfill at the same time several functions: It can lower the interior areas that are too high, it can cover the defects of old ceilings and hide any installations placed beneath the ceiling, it offers protection to the area below from damage caused by leakage from a water supply system, it has an attractive decorative finish, resembling the surface of water with a mirror reflection. They are used with success in public utility buildings, offices, shops, schools, hotels, hospitals, swimming pools, sports halls or industrial bays as well as in private projects making it possible to complete unique design and decorate the interiors in a modern way in a short time.

A nearly 57,000 m² facility redefining the standards of contemporary industrial architecture.

At Nissan Crossing Ginza, the Eight Inc architects wanted to design a space that would be just as futuristic as the vehicles on display.

The challenge?
Conventional ceilings simply cannot achieve such forms.
