♥️ I’ve always had a soft spot for traditional ticking fabric. There’s something about the crisp, simple stripes that I just love.

Although traditionally associated with country interiors, I think ticking looks just as lovely in a more contemporary home introducing an elegant pop of colour to any room in your home 🏠

I must admit, ticking sometimes tests my patience 😣, getting those stripes perfectly straight and matching up the lines takes a fair bit of precise cutting ✂️ and fiddling, but it’s so satisfying when everything lines up beautifully 👍

🎀 Fancy a bit of fringing? 😉

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had fun adding personalised ribbons, trims and beading to some lampshades, all chosen by the customer, to make their shade that little bit more individual ⭐️

There are some gorgeous beads, ribbons and trims out there, to give your lampshade that extra detail if you fancy, and we can choose something together that’s completely you 🙂

❤️ Bold. Retro. Iconic.

💚 Love it, like it or leave it, but Orla Kiely’s distinctive designs certainly make beautiful fabric lampshades.

I love the pop of different colours in this particular design, so I’ve made a large 40cm diameter one to brighten up the shop floor ✨ It’s a one off piece for anybody who loves a little colour 🙂
