Ongoing chair resto - purple one painted and finished with furniture wax. Upholstery next step …

Grey one is the second of a pair (ercol) I did the first one ages ago for our lounge and finally decided to do the second one.

Quite time consuming but very enjoyable and a great end product.

The purple one is available for purchase…so if you or anyone you know might be interested before I upholster it, give me a DM. It’s very striking and the wax has given it a really rich soft sheen. Will make a fab accent chair for someone.

Inspired by my pottery repair work, thought I’d give some furniture up cycling a go today…

A skip find chair that had a broken spindle in the arm section (which has been replaced with a newly turned one…by a friend who is a wood turner) gave me a great platform for the project.

Colour is imperial violet (paint we had in from a previous project many moons ago).

Will be upholstering the seat pad with some fabric that was going spare at CRAFT INN

Enjoyable afternoon so far. Third coat of paint tomorrow or Tuesday and then the reupholstered seat pad to attach.

Keep any eye open for the final product.

Good morning LVG Art Collection - cards, candles and original artwork

After making my Art-cards in the CRAFT INN on Thursday, I felt the creative urge to make some new ‘standard’ greeting cards.

I made this small hand sculpted ornament a while ago and I put it aside to give myself time to decide whether to colour it or not.

I worked on it today having decided to do a muted glaze…a soft mauve.

Pleased with the result I am offering it for sale. It is a genuine, one off, original design - £25 excluding p&p (if delivery is needed).

Can be boxed and gift wrapped at the purchaser’s request (subject to agreement on additional cost). Card payment available.
