🎃🔥 A LITTLE HALLOWEEN MAGIC BY THE WOODBURNER! 👻🍂
Halloween isn’t just about costumes, sweets and things that go bump in the night!
It’s also a lovely excuse to spend time at home, enjoy some family traditions and make the most of those autumn evenings. ❤️
And what better place to gather than around the warm glow of a wood-burning stove?
Here are a few ideas for bringing a little Halloween magic into your home this October! 🎃
🥣 Pumpkin soup – Don’t waste all that lovely pumpkin after carving! Turn the edible flesh into a delicious homemade soup, perfect for warming everyone up after trick-or-treating.
🧙♀️ Witch’s cauldron – Get the children involved in making a spooky green potion using water, food colouring and some creepy ingredients. A little imagination goes a long way!
👻 Spooky shadows – Turn down the lights and use the glow from your stove to create some wonderfully spooky shadows around the room.
🍡 Marshmallow treats – Make some Halloween-themed marshmallow treats, or enjoy toasted marshmallows prepared safely in the kitchen.
🍊 The smell of Halloween – Cinnamon, orange, cloves and pumpkin can fill your home with beautiful autumn fragrances. A gently simmering pan on your kitchen hob is perfect for creating that seasonal atmosphere.
🔥 And of course, there’s nothing quite like coming home from a chilly evening of trick-or-treating to a lovely warm stove!
⚠️ A little Halloween safety reminder: Keep decorations, costumes, sweets and little hands well away from your stove. Never place ordinary saucepans, decorations or other objects on a stove unless the manufacturer specifically permits their use. Always supervise children and use a suitable fireguard.
