NEW SEASON. NEW LOOK. NEW CARPET.

Why limit a beautiful carpet to the floor?
We're not saying carpet trousers are the next big thing…
But we're also not saying they aren't. 😂
When it comes to your home, though, we'll stick to putting the carpet where it belongs.

We've all made a questionable home decision.
That paint colour.
That sofa.
That feature wall you thought you'd love forever.
But your flooring doesn't have to be one of them.

We have a question...

How does a bedroom carpet end up with a stain when nobody knows what caused it?

"It's not mine."
"I didn't do it."
"I don't know."

Three very confident answers.
Zero useful information. 😂
Children's bedrooms can be full of little mysteries, especially when snacks, drinks, crafts and muddy socks are involved.
When choosing flooring for a family home, practicality matters just as much as appearance.
Because sometimes you need a floor that can handle the evidence.

Carpet, vinyl or laminate?

There's no clear winner for a child's bedroom.
It depends on the room.
How it's used.
What matters most to you.
And, of course, what you want it to look like.
Some families love the warmth and softness of carpet.
Others prefer the practicality and easy-clean nature of hard flooring.
The important thing is choosing based on your room, rather than simply following what someone else has chosen.
If you're unsure, that's exactly the sort of thing we're here to help with.

"Can a friend stay over?"

Five words that can completely change the evening.
Suddenly there are sleeping bags on the floor, snacks everywhere and approximately 47 conversations happening at once.
Children's bedrooms get used differently when friends come over.
Which is another reason comfort matters.
A floor that feels good to sit, lie and play in can make a bedroom feel much more welcoming.
Although we're not responsible for the noise levels.
That's between you and the parents of the other children. 😂

Apparently, floors have other uses...
According to children, a bedroom floor can be:
A football pitch.
A Lego construction site.
A place to practise cartwheels .
A reading corner.
A wrestling arena.
And, if you're really lucky, somewhere to put their clothes.
So when we're asked what flooring is best for a child's bedroom, we don't just think about how it looks.
We think about how the room is actually going to be used.
Because children have a very different idea of what a "floor" is for. 😂

A child's bedroom can change dramatically in just a few years.
Toys become books.
Play becomes homework.
Then homework becomes exams.
And before you know it, they're asking why you haven't knocked before entering their room. 😄
When choosing flooring, it can be worth thinking a little further ahead.
Something that works for a young child doesn't necessarily have to look childish.
A simple, versatile choice can grow with the room.
That's something we're always happy to help with.
