Really happy to finally share this collaboration with Magdalena Zajac - Furniture Artist
The botanical velvet used on this gorgeous ottoman started as one of my own designs and was developed and printed especially for this project. Seeing it go from artwork on my screen, to an actual piece of velvet, and then to a finished piece of furniture is probably my favourite part of what I do.
A big thank you to Magdalena Zajac - Furniture Artist for choosing my design for this project and for turning it into such a beautiful ottoman. I think the fabric and the shape of the piece work so well together. 🤍
This particular design is also becoming part of something I’ve been working towards for a while. My first Ascha Atelier fabrics are almost ready to be available to buy online.
I’m currently finishing a few colourways of this botanical velvet too. There’s the original colourful version you can see on the ottoman, a warm sepia version, some softer earthy tones, and a darker, more modern combination of black, bronze, deep green and dark gold.
It’s quite amazing how different the same design can feel just by changing the colours, and I’m looking forward to showing more of them properly very soon.
And of course, if it’s the ottoman that caught your eye, the finished piece is available directly from Magdalena Zajac - Furniture Artist.
A little preview of what’s been happening behind the scenes at Ascha Atelier — and hopefully the first of many fabrics to come.
