NINA D is an award winning luxury tableware brand based in Cheshire with Nina’s hand illustrated designs, inspired by her Swedish upbringing and family traditions. I produce high quality homeware products inspired by my Swedish upbringing and family traditions. Each design is named after a person or a place close to my heart in Sweden. Meticulously hand illustrated, this collection features a range of bespoke patterns. Unique textures within each ornately layered, two-dimensional design. I have lived in England for twenty five years and today I live in Altrincham. My range includes large and medium placemats with matching round and square coasters. My designs have also been produced on Swedish birch wood serving trays by the renowned tray manufacturer Åry Trays. The linen napkins and table runners are handmade by a small family business in Lithuania, using 100% flax linen with my brand name beautifully hand embroidered in rose gold. All my products have included sustainably sourced materials which is important to me. My homeware range captures the essence of Scandinavian tradition where dining is cherished and a time to re-connect with loved ones. My Swedish family take great pride in setting the table and their inspiration is at the heart of my exquisite range. Each order comes beautifully gift wrapped with a personal handwritten note. A little Swedish fika, with a touch of autumn 🍂

After a busy few weeks of travelling, meeting inspiring people and embracing new opportunities, there’s something rather lovely about coming home and slowing down.

A coffee, a slice of homemade apple cake and a beautifully set table. Sometimes, it’s the simplest moments that feel most special.

Inspired by our Swedish tradition of fika, this is a little reminder to pause, enjoy a sweet treat and make time for the people around us.

Here, my Gotland tableware sits alongside our olive green linen napkins - a beautiful shade for autumn, bringing natural warmth to the table.

I’m also delighted that our olive green linen napkins feature in the November issue of House Beautiful. A lovely moment for Nina D.

Because a beautifully set table is about more than what’s on it. It’s about making space to connect, share stories and feel at home.

Perhaps what we need in a world that moves faster and faster is permission to pause.

I’ve been thinking about the growing conversation around slowing down, stepping away from our screens and finding more meaning in our everyday rituals.

But for me, this isn’t a new idea.

The ritual of setting the table goes right back to my childhood and to the time I spent visiting my grandparents in Gotland.

A table set for a meal. Food prepared and shared. Everyone sitting down together. A moment to pause and simply be present with one another.

Those memories have stayed with me.

And perhaps that’s why setting the table has always felt like much more than putting out plates and placemats.

It’s a little ritual of preparation and anticipation. Light a candle, choosing the napkins, pouring something to drink - and then sitting down together.

For a while, the phones can be put away and the outside world can wait.

This has been part of the Nina D story from the very beginning: creating tableware inspired by heritage, illustration and the traditions that make a home feel personal.

Perhaps luxury isn’t always about having more.

Perhaps sometimes it’s about creating a little more space for the things that matter. 🤍

As September draws to a close, a little reminder of Nina D 💛

✨ Our first Christmas press feature of the year!✨

I’m so delighted to see Nina D featured in Your Home’s Christmas Made Easy 2026 publication, with our Turkish Delight Christmas table setting bringing colour, pattern and a little festive maximalism to the pages. ❤️

The editorial describes the table as:

“Bright and bold. Colourful, playful and artistic…”

…and I couldn’t love those words more.

With layers of texture, colourful Nina D placemats, pure linen, gold details, candlelight and jewel-like berry tones, this table was all about creating a joyful Christmas setting that feels as wonderful as it looks.

The Nina D pieces featured include our mustard linen napkin, Ida-Lilja coaster, large round placemat and round birch wood tray.

Ida-Lilja is particularly special to me - inspired by my mother and one of the family stories at the heart of Nina D.

For me, setting a Christmas table is about creating a feeling. A reason to gather, to linger, to light the candles and enjoy being together. ✨

You’ll find illustrative tableware, Swedish-inspired designs, beautiful serving trays, candles by Apold Apothecary coasters, jigsaws and beautiful napkin rings - lovely pieces for your home or thoughtful gifts.

As autumn arrives and the days become shorter, I find myself thinking about the moments we create around the table. ✨

These photographs were taken a few years ago, when Lukas was much younger, and remain some of my favourites.

The deep blue, soft sage green of Ekotemplet, eucalyptus foliage, candlelight - and that feeling of being at home together.

Swedish traditions have always been a part of our family traditions too. The scent of saffron buns baking is one of those simple memories that can take me straight back to Sweden.

For me, beautiful living has never been about perfection.

It’s about creating a feeling.

A place to gather, share good food, continue traditions and make memories.

And that feeling is at the heart of Nina D.

Warm, natural and full of character, our mustard-yellow linen brings a beautiful autumnal note to the table.

As the season turns towards harvest, there is something lovely about bringing warmer colour, natural textures and a little rustic charm into the home - creating a table that feels relaxed, generous and made for gathering.

Handmade for Nina D by a family business in Lithuania, each runner and napkin is crafted from 100% natural flax linen, using natural dyes, and finished with our Nina D name hand embroidered into the fabric.

Linen is wonderfully breathable, naturally beautiful and only becomes softer and more characterful with time - making it something to enjoy season after season.

I’m especially delighted to see our mustard-yellow linen runner featured in the September issues of Lancashire Life, Somerset Life, Sussex Life, Dorset Living and Norfolk Magazine.

This week, I was proud to host the British Retail Consortium annual reception in Parliament.

It was a huge privilege to have local business NINA D and Visit Altrincham join me at the reception. We had the chance to speak with some of the biggest names in retail, along with government ministers responsible for the sector.

Nina and the team from Visit Altrincham (Kate and Jo) were fantastic representatives of our community, speaking with real passion and insight about the importance of retail and how the Government can support it to create jobs and opportunities for young people.

Independent businesses like NINA D and the organisations that support them, like Visit Altrincham, do so much to make our community the fantastic place to live that it is, and I was proud to have them as my guests at such an important event.

Supporting our high streets in Altrincham and Sale West will always be a priority for me.
