Made this rather cute and quirky doll and can't wait to dress her up

Cleared the craft room table, ready to teach yesterday, which left me space to experiment and try prepping other projects I want to do.
So I painted some fabric , ready for a seaweed goldwork project
Soaked , and tried to make holes in some shells, ready for a driftwood project buzzing around in my head
Stuffed a wool/felt badger doll I'm making, using up a jar full of my cat's fur, this will make it very special to me. Weirdly the fur is poking through the felt, and our cat Lucifer keeps smelling Raz's fur!
And cut up a charm pack of Moda's bee garden range, ready to make a miniature quilt, or maybe a medallion quilt, jury is still out on that 😀
So.....onwards and upwards as I also still need to finish my gold work mackerel, whale and swallow goldwork pieces too
Note to self, don't keep starting so many projects all at once 🤔🤪😯

Ive been very quiet posting on here for days, but have been busy spending time with lots of creative ladies
Here's some photos from the cheeky stitchers group
Jess was wowing us all with her amazing couture spool bag, which she made from scratch. Its really beautiful 😍
Judith had been orolific and showcased two gorgeous quilts, 1 with a matching cushion
Again, beautiful
Other ladies were making other quilts, but they were in planning or piecing stages, so i shall get more photos next time. Until then enjoy these

Another manic week on all fronts, business, social and creative
Some lovely projects in the works, ranging from lupins, owls, Christmas stars, seahorses framed and looking amazing, and frogs
Typical me, only took a couple of photos though

Another talented group of ladies introduced themselves to goldwork today, hosted by the lovely Alyson from the blue house fabric shop in Ystradgynlais
Well done ladies, you were all so neat and keen, I'm glad you all enjoyed the day

Well that's a weekend wrap for another year. Trap held their annual agricultural show and pur WI always stewards the domestic tent
It was warm, busy and full of wonderful home grown, baked, carved, painted, created and written work
I entered lots of pieces in various classes
I tried my hand at traditional rural crafts , like straw dollies and bale twine; and I am pleased to say I
did okay 😃
I was awarded two Crystal bowls for my work/points, and even got best in show for my chicken doorstop
Who knew 😄
My personal favourite was a last minute driftwood embroidery hoop art, which I entered into the woodwork section, and which got placed
I intend to deconstruct it and recreate it in more of a subtle , goldwork style

Had a great day today, at the home studio, creating some beautiful upgrades to my old Clarkes shoes, under the guidance of Lizzi, thank you so much
What messy fun 😁
Even the cat got sparkly sprinkles on it!
Shoes were a scuffed gold,sanded, cleaned,went black, then silver then pinky purple splotches added
Very pleased 🥰

Been a busy 2 weeks, since we returned from Cape Verde
Was lovely catching up with so many of my lovely talented ladies, too.

I will be stewarding in the main tent at this annual event, great fun for a family day out, food tent, b**r tent, animal displays, craft tent, children's treasure hunt etc
