While on holiday in north West Wales last week, I was fortunate enough to spot the complete shell of a spiny spider crab, on Morfa Nefyn beach, so it joined my new collection of shells
It no longercsmells and has now had a light touch of gilding added to the spines and blank patches of white. Feel sorry the crab is no longer roaming free on the reef, but grateful for the design opportunities this will offer up

Well.my holiday has come to a clise, but ive had a fantastic time, explored just some of what the Llyn Peninsular has to offer educated myself with museum trips, exercised myself with cl8ff and castle walks, and found time to craft too

Those of you who know me also know that I'm always up for a creative challenge.
I can't really crochet , and my friends Julie & Chris have been so patient trying to show me how to do poppies, for our local church, or granny squares which come out as ovals
However, I saw this bag and decided I loved it enough to try one more time and go for it
So far it's taken me 4 times longer than the pattern suggested , and I still can't get the tension right when holding the yarn
But here I am , proudly staring at the base of my bag, with just 1 more row to go!
Yayyy

My attempt and hopefully what the end result will look like
Wish me luck 🤣

I've been able to work on my gastropod, ready for teaching it later in the year
It's proved a bit of funky fun and shows that goldwork doesn't need to be formal every time
Hope you like her 🥰

Busy couple of days in the home studio , helping a fellow WI member paint a heavy-duty calico background fabric, as well as some of the work produced with " The Gigglers" which was as to be expected, a fun-filled day of them producing some useful items for charity , gifting or personal use , and another friend visiting to complete some free machining floral applique pieces
Well done all, so inspiring, meanwhile I managed to get 5 more bee kits together ready to teach a new group next week
🥰

What an amazing bank holiday weekend we're having
Truly gorgeous. The French doors in the workroom are wide open and the glorious sound of birdsong comes flooding in
So mindful
I said goodbye for at least another 3 months to my dear riend Sarah Jones
Due to jome renovations she has had to pack away her crafting stuff. I'd struggle with thatshe really made up for list time though and knocked out 4 projects. She was also focussing on layer cake projects
Beautiful results. Well done Sarah
