This turned wooden lamp base was brought in to by one of their regular customers. It wasn’t bought from them, but they were very happy to organise a repair to the two large splits that had opened in it. Finished with a light sand, a wax and a polish.

Since the weather has improved (marginally), I have been able to get back to furniture again. It’s been greatly missed!

Started this before December (first picture for reminder) and finally the end is in sight. It was warped and water damaged but with considerable persuasion is coming together nicely.

Note to self: Yes to damaged furniture but…

This forlorn little unit has been repainted many times and I found a lot of stickers under some of them too. Safe to say, it was some teenagers bedroom unit for a while.

Refreshed in ‘Evening Blue’ furniture paint by Rustoleum, ‘Assa Marra Night’ wallpaper (inspired by aerial shots of the Lake District) from as well as new antique brass effect handles. Newly delivered to and available from in .

Now it’s back to an acceptable temperature, I’m back to working in the garage again on this vintage sideboard with original mirror. The body has seen the most work…. sanded, filled, very thin coat of paint, sanded, filled and is almost ready for its proper paint job. The doors have been sanded, filled and sanded some more so they’re not too far behind the body. Tried out the handles on the drawers to give an idea of what it will look like. Hopefully not too long to go on this now!

Just waiting for the weather to warm up so I can get back to furniture. In the meantime, here’s another freshly finished...
