Clement Design Contemporary Scottish wallpaper & hand printed interior textiles... Clement Design is run by me, Tery McCowan, from my studio in Clachan, Applecross Scotland.

I specialise in unique scottish wallpaper and creating interior spaces which are uniquely designed and founded upon the clients' needs. I have recently finished the new design and upgrade of The Walled Garden Restaurant on Applecross Estate. As well as the interior design side of things, I also design and hand print my own bespoke range of interior textiles. I like to incorporate my own designs in the jobs I do where I see fitting. Applecross Sauna merch has officially landed!

We are so excited to finally share this with you! Our brand new Applecross Sauna collection is now available to buy.

Designed by Clement Design, There are now three easy ways to shop:

🪵 At the sauna – Simply scan the QR code for the item you’d like, pay online, then collect it from the drawers in the Boatshed.

🌐 Online – Shop via the link in the bio.

🛍️ In person – Visit Applecross Interiors & Gifts, shop on the other side of the bay, where you’ll find the full collection (along with lots of other lovely local products!).

Every purchase helps support our fantastic community sauna while supporting local design and a local independent business too.

Designer Diaries in Applecross today 🌊 the day started with Workshops at my shop followed by measuring up for more blinds and checking other blinds fit! Then back to the shop to make lampshades.

A little glimpse behind the scenes today…

One minute I’m measuring up for bespoke blinds in a stunning Highland home, the next I’m back in the studio hand printing fabric for another blind order destined for a beautiful new cabin here in Applecross.

In between all that? Serving customers, making coffee, unpacking an exciting delivery from one of our wonderful local chocolatiers and trying to keep up with everything else that comes with running a creative business!

I genuinely love that no two days are ever the same.

I’m looking forward to sharing these finished blinds once they’re installed.

The new signage is underway, and we’ve also been developing a range of merchandise. Here’s a sneak peek at the t-shirt designs, with lots of other pieces still in progress.
