WELCOME!

CCID has had a flurry of new followers after completing some recent commercial and residential projects.

So, thought I would reintroduce myself as the face behind the company: Cassandra Chessum Interior Design.

I’m Cassandra, but most people call me Cassie. This is me in the photo over the summer in the Cotswolds.

I was born into a large family of antiques dealers and textile designers. It’s fair to say that interior design is in my blood.

So, it is no surprise that my earliest memories involve trailing after my parents as they searched for antiques in Chelsea.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in architecture, design and interiors.

After buying and renovating an 18th century thatched cottage by the coast, I decided to turn my passion into a career.

I have been working in interior design for the last 10 years, setting up CCID and creating beautiful and sustainable spaces.

Before studying and practicing interior design, I worked for over 15 years in sustainability and the built environment.

As a Director of a Public Affairs, I worked on projects related to climate change, energy, water and responsible sourcing.

Throughout my career to date, I have gained a set of transferable skills, making me an excellent project manager.

This ensures that I am well placed to complete interior design projects to time and to budget.

Plus my shrewd negotiating skills ensure that I can negotiate competitive prices with suppliers and trades people.

Outside of work, I am a devoted mother to two gorgeous children. I love swimming and sailing, as well as Pilates and meditation.

I split my time between the cosmopolitan city of London and the stunning coast and countryside of Devon and Cornwall.

So lucky to have this view from CCID’s interior design studio! It has been so wonderful to admire this view over the summer, which has been so stunning.

CCID have been busy this summer, wrapping up a number of very exciting projects, including a converted stable block, a stunning holiday home and an Italian cafe.

As a result, we have some capacity to take on a couple of new and exciting commercial and / or residential interior design projects over the coming months.

PROJECT TOUR - AMALFI BAR & CAFE:

We are absolutely delighted to share the photos of the rest rooms and staircase, which CCID designed for Amalfi Bar & Cafe. It is the epitome of sophistication.

CCID worked with a brilliant team of builders and tilers, electricians and plumbers, as well as artists and decorators to turn the concept into a reality.

The rest rooms feature beautiful blue and white patterned tiles, a navy blue vanity unit, as well as ribbed glass wall lights, placed either side of a round mirror.

The corridor boasts beautiful artwork, including a bespoke Amalfi-themed wall mural that wraps around the staircase, hand-painted from floor to ceiling.

The brief was to transport guests to the sun-drenched coastline of southern Italy. The client is so pleased with the result and the customer feedback.

PROJECT TOUR - AMALFI BAR & CAFE:

We are absolutely delighted to share the photos of the bar and lounge area, which CCID designed for Amalfi Bar & Cafe. It is the epitome of sophistication.

CCID worked with a brilliant team of builders and tilers, carpenters and joiners, as well as painters and decorators to turn the concept for the cafe into a reality.

The lounge area features rope backed sofas and lounge chairs, paired with marble coffee tables, all in prime position by the floor to ceiling windows.

The bar area features a curved bar made from reeded oak and navy blue joinery, as well as a stunning stone countertop, with the most amazing amber gold veining.

The project brief was to transport guests to the sun-drenched coastline of southern Italy. The client is so pleased with the result and the customer feedback.

PROJECT TOUR - AMALFI BAR & CAFE:

We are absolutely delighted to share the photos of the cafe and dining area, which CCID designed for Amalfi Bar & Cafe. It is the epitome of sophistication.

CCID worked with a brilliant team of builders and tilers, carpenters and joiners, as well as painters and decorators to turn the concept for the cafe into a reality.

The cafe features a combination of beautiful boucle and rope dining chairs, teamed with marble tables - the ideal spot to enjoy some Italian coffee.

The space also features fabulous fluted curved banquette seating with a dusty blue fabric, as well as rich tan leather - perfect for sitting back and relaxing in.

The brief was to transport guests to the sun-drenched coastline of southern Italy. The client is so pleased with the result and the customer feedback.

STYLING & STAGING:

CCID absolutely adore the amazing artwork on display at Amalfi Bar & Cafe.

These were the perfect products to style and stage CCID’s recent commercial project.

We worked closely with Homecoming to source this stunning artwork for our client.

CCID had so much fun designing and styling the interiors for this faboulous bar and cafe.

SAMPLE BOARD:

At Amalfi Bar & Café, the brief was to transport guests to the sun-drenched coastline of southern Italy.

CCID created this sample board for the client to visualise the materials that would help bring the vision to life.

This informed the sourcing and procurement of a carefully curated range of materials and finishes, including:

- fabulous fluted wood wall panelling, paired with stone coloured painted walls;
- beautiful blue and white patterned Italian tiles, teamed with terracotta tiles;
- rustic Roman wall tiles with a patterned motif in muted yellow and soft blue;
- bench seating with a fluted back in a dusty blue fabric and a tan leather seat;
- marble dining and coffee tables, with chrome edging and table bases; and
- stunning stone bar counter top with warm amber veigning.

CCID absolutely adore these citrus yellow ceramics and candles, which are full of character and colour. These were the perfect products to style and stage our recent commercial project: Amalfi Bar & Cafe.

We worked closely with Homecoming to source these stunning accessories and artwork for our client. CCID had so much fun designing and styling the interiors for this faboulous bar and cafe in Bideford, Devon.
