Say hello to Carol — although you’ll probably get to know her better as the Ginger Magpie ❤️

Carol is wonderfully creative, full of ideas and has a real talent for seeing the potential in ordinary and forgotten things. Give her some paper, paint, glue and a few curious bits and pieces, and there’s no telling what she’ll create!

She’ll be bringing her own style, imagination and wee touch of creative magic to the workshop table as our Artist in Residence.

I’m so excited for you all to meet her, get creative with her and see what she has planned.

Something tells me the Ginger Magpie is going to fit right in around here 😂

Monday already, windows and housework done and heading off to a few meetings that are all about my 'One page. Two passions'

Nyla’s Dreams Aromas is all about beautiful home fragrance, while Fi’s Heart & Home brings back my love of crafting, creating and sharing it with others.

Now, you know how I always go on about the proper etiquette for putting out your candle - s***f don't puff' and why we cover it when it's out ..... well last week, I didn't follow my own advice, and I'd blown it out and moved it and left it sat beside the front door (yep, where it was just collecting all that dust that belw in every time the door opened). Anyway, my candle yesterday had a hang up while lit because it remembered how the wick set after I blew it out and debris on top 🧐 (thankfully only a test candle 😃

Now, there’s lots and I mean lots happening behind the scenes at the moment—and I can’t wait to bring you along for it all!

So, which are you here for—the fragrances, the crafts or a wee bit of both? 😄

Thought it would be good to share a wee reminder of what joining Nyla’s Dreams Aromas and Fi’s Heart & Home is all about ❤️

It’s somewhere to browse, discover something a little different, find luxurious home fragrances, lovely gifts and — very soon — come along and get creative too.

I’ve missed crafting more than I realised, so bringing that side of me back has been brilliant. It’s made me smile and there’s nothing I love more than feeling energised.

Before learning all about SDS, MSDS, CLP, flash points and much more for the fragrances, I used laser machines to do make plaques, coasters and bookmarks, and then to put my logo onto my lids.

There was also personalised gift making using sublimation. Mostly for family and friends but I had fun. And, sublimation is basically where I lose myself for hours designing, add a bit of heat, a ton of pressure and a wee bit of special crafting magic 😄

And there is LOTS more to come… 👀

An idea forming of how to share all our news with everyone. Both on and off social media as well - which I'm having fun with 😀

One of my favourite things about what I do is helping you find 'THE' fragrance.

You know the one…the one that is 'YOU'.

You smell it, your face changes and you immediately go, “Oooohhhh, I LOVE that!” 😂

Fresh & clean? | Fruity? | Floral? | Sweet?| Woody & warm?

I’m not a 'Jasmine or Rose' person but I do love an earthy, woody musky noted fragrance.

So, tell me — what do you naturally reach for? Do you go for a very feminine one or are you okay with something a little masculine?

After spending much of Monday sniffing smellies and determining whether it was an 'aye or a nae', I've finally fine-tuned them.

I shared the candles with you on Tuesday, and today, it's the diffusers turn. I've already discontinued a few recently and here's whats remaining.

Keeping: Nyla; Black Orchid; Black Plum & Rhubarb; Cigar Lounge; Peony Blush; Pear & Freesia; Dark Honey & To***co; Mint & Rhubarb; Nordic Cedar

Undecided: Amber Nectar & Damson Plum, Rose & Patchouli

Do you prefer a candle or a diffuser? Is there a particular fragrance that you'd like to see me stock in a diffuser?

Now I'm away to check on the room sprays as these cover a lot more fragrances 🤣🤣

Wednesday and that can only mean one thing, it’s ADMIN DAY 💻☕ here at HQ

Let’s take a look at the glamorous side of running a small business… I mean, the fragrances don't make themselves although, I sometimes wish they would 🤣🤣

Paperwork ✅
Ordering ✅
Trying to remember why I opened another tab on the computer… ✅😂

Today is all about getting organised behind the scenes .........

Or at least pretending I am and changing hats more often than I care too, send coffee and let's hope that I will see the desk at some point this century 🤣

How on earth did we get here already?!

September is looking like a busy one at Fi’s Heart & Home & Nyla’s Dreams Aromas — new workshops, gorgeous fragrances, lots of ideas floating around in my head and probably far too much coffee 😂
