'Tuscany Summer fields' another from the archives - I've had a couple of orders for Tuscany paintings recently, so I am painting several large scenes, which will be mounted and wrapped, ready to frame. (Oh, to be back in Italy now......... :D

more from the garden - today it's all dripping from the rain, but I took these a couple of days ago. Getting inspired for some large floral paintings! :D Masses of azaleas out all along the drive, the honeysuckle-ish scent is amazing. Lot of irises out now, my favourites.

busy busy....! Working on new work for my June Exhibition (27th, in Helensburgh) so here's another from the archives - Summer roses, Plockton. Raining outside, finishing off painting a glorious sunset over Skye here in the studio, hoping the sunshine returns soon!

our lovely big laburnum tree this morning - if you stand under it, there is an actual choir of many bumble bees, all humming in unison. In other garden-related news, the flaming buggery Scottish midges have arrived.......slathered arms and face in fancy anti-midgie cream repellent, they loved it. Invited all their families.

Fancy a day trip to Helensburgh? Had several requests to see more animal paintings - here's a couple more from the archives, whales! I used to do a whole series of small paintings, lots of horses, hares, puffins, cows, deer, fish ....... I did like these two, had a lot of fun getting the colours right, not too much of my usual bright pinks and greens! :D

Here's some of my tulips, now in full bloom; while I work on another commission painting. The white ones are peony-flowered, scented, and come back every year unlike most tulips! So pretty in the sunshine.
